I have a parking thread!

Come home from school run to someone parked on my private parking.

I've blocked them in as there's nowhere else for me to park and left a note to say I next plan to move my car tomorrow AM.

Cheeky fucker hasn't returned yet.

Pretty obvious that op opened the door, went back on her word not to, nothing dramatic happened and hence no update.

Yes, there should be some sort of MN penalty for this. This is the first parking thread I read and it’s a shame it ended (hasn’t ended yet) this way. I do hope OP is alright though. I’d rather her be impolite by leaving us hanging, than in hospital for whatever reason or sth.

If she’s alright, I wonder if she’ll post on MN again, probably not for a while

Or maybe it’s some kind of social experiment, that we are all part of now

I need to stop putting threads on my watch list because about 90% of them end like this with no resolution

Two occasions when someone blocked me in: 1) came out of the (Vet)
clinic I worked at to find a knackered Triumph Spitfire blocking the narrow access to our parking. Open but no keys - with help from a nurse we pushed it back into the road and double parked. Just a hysterical owner appeared from one direction a Copper appeared from the other. By the way - said car had no tax, handbrake u/s and the drivers seat was no longer fixed to the floor. As my then boss said “That’ll larn ‘i m.”

1. Years later - my own clinic - building inspector despite numerous requests kept blocking access to my parking while he checked on some work at the back of my clinic. I got back for lunch at The George with Mrs Geezer at 12.50 - what to do?

Obviously - park car and lock it behind Inspector’s car and go to lunch. Repeated calls to my mobile during lunch from my staff - the Inspector is doing everything except chewing the Lino as he had an appointment with his boss at 13.00 At 5 to 2 I got back for afternoon surgery and let him out. Guess what - he never did it again.

Where can I find other parking threads? I've read a few (the forestry one and another) but every time I search something on MN it says it isn't working properly! Are they in a certain topic?

I’ve been watching this thread desperately waiting for the next instalment! Just as disappointed as the rest of you.

However, as a consolation to everyone who loves a good little parking thread I can tell you that my BIL just messaged. CF parked in his private space at the back of his house, so he stuck a parking ticket on the CF’s windscreen 😀 Hope this sates those of you with an appetite for parking stories 😄
