Come home from school run to someone parked on my private parking.

I've blocked them in as there's nowhere else for me to park and left a note to say I next plan to move my car tomorrow AM.

Cheeky fucker hasn't returned yet.

It’s pretty obvious that it’s autocorrected her, given The word ‘tenderhooks’ doesn’t exist. Rather than being snippy why not just thank *@AlCalavicci* for their excellent explanation into its origins and admit you got the word wrong, something we have all done.

Im just pointing out if you come on a thread to correct someone,proof read your post first.

There is only one poster coming out of this looking a bit daft and it’s not the one who eloquently explained the origins of a word.

Question for OP: how could tell that the owner of the car was visiting a few doors down if they rang the doorbell while you were busy in the bathroom?

When a word doesn’t exist and is clearly autocorrected then that’s just being rather petty.

And she wasn’t pulling her up on the spelling, it was an entirely different word which is often misused , the origins of which were wonderfully explained. So no, I don’t think that’s dickish at all.

I dont need anything wonderfully explained I dont come on MN for a lesson .
It auto corrected it wrong for me also.Which is what i said.

You might need to reinstall whatever keyboard you are using there. It shouldn’t be autocorrecting a correct word to one that is non existent.
