Come home from school run to someone parked on my private parking.

I've blocked them in as there's nowhere else for me to park and left a note to say I next plan to move my car tomorrow AM.

Cheeky fucker hasn't returned yet.

I hope OP is not lying in a pool of her congealing blood after the car owner beat her to death with his gear stick.

Minfilia · 25/09/2021 17:58

Why did you run away without updating?!

Harmonypuss · 25/09/2021 18:00

I'm sure someone had already said this over the previous 15 pages (only read the first one) but if you are stopping the cf from accessing the highway (regardless of the fact that they're parked on your private spot), you are the one who is LEGALLY IN THE WRONG and they can get the police involved to make you move.
There's absolutely nothing you can do about the fact that they've parked on your private spot.
Maybe but a parking post and have it put in to stop anyone without the key from parking there.

Harmonypuss · 25/09/2021 18:00

Buy not but

ladymuck111 · 25/09/2021 18:04

I think she gave in and let them out without making it difficult for them, and knows the wrath of MN will crucify her.

Becgoz7 · 25/09/2021 18:04

Well that was a waste of time

StoneofDestiny · 25/09/2021 18:11

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Tohaveandtohold · 25/09/2021 18:14

Experiment627 · 25/09/2021 19:11

@rslsys that is the best idea EVER!!!!

CustardySergeant · 25/09/2021 19:11

@JesusIsAnyNameFree

"Us hoe"?😂
I thought it said "Us hic" and assumed the OP had got hiccups from the shock of finding a car parked in their space. Wink
IveGotASongThatllGetOnYNerves · 25/09/2021 19:16

I think we should just make up our own ending.

I submit
Man knocked at door, op eventually opened door with a custard pie in her hand which she proceeded to smash into his face.

SecretKeeper1 · 25/09/2021 19:23

Cheeky fucker hasn't returned yet.

Oh, the irony.

Scandicc · 25/09/2021 19:24

Started as a fun cock-block, turned into the OP giving us all blue balls from a lack of updates Sad

MobilityCat · 25/09/2021 19:29

@Snog

Casually Looking up the law on the internet suggests the police have zero authority when someone parks on your drive as it's not a criminal offence and comes under the civil law of trespass.

You are advised not to tow the car away as if it is damaged you are liable.

You are not allowed to damage the vehicle.

If you block their car in then YOU are committing an offence.

Only if it is abandoned for a long period of time does it seem that you can do anything about it.

So clearly CFs can park on any drive they like whenever it suits them. Once they all realise it will be mayhem.

I'm putting my head on the block and agreeing with you... My research was from the RAC so I think that's fairly reliable gooseberrypies
daisychain01 · 25/09/2021 19:31

@BorderlineHappy

Let's face it, parking in front of a car to block them in is hardly the event of the millennium is it.

@daisychain01 this is MN,they are all on tenderhooks as we speak.

Of course. Silly old me Grin
Experiment627 · 25/09/2021 20:02

Oh how sad that there is no update 😭😭😭

I really hope OP is ok.

There are going to be a lot of disappointed MNers as this thread has gone out on their weekly interesting reads.

But if you have a long drive, then parking at the exit end will reduce the ability of CFs parking there.
