Have you gotten pregnant after both yourself and partner had first and second vaccine?

OP posts:

I got my first shot during my TWW. Husband has both already, 4 weeks pregnant 🙏🏼

Sunshinealligator · 16/09/2021 05:05

Yes, was trying for years and years, so far into our infertility journey we didn't even think it would happen by miracle.

I'm double jabbed with Pfizer, DH double jabbed AZ.

I fell pregnant in Aug.

HerbivorousRex · 16/09/2021 05:15

Yes, I’m currently pregnant and we were both fully vaccinated when I conceived (in fact we live abroad so we’ve both had double doses of both Sinopharm and Pfizer!)

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 16/09/2021 05:16

No but I've heard sex has to occur

Dil did though which was a nice surprise as she was told it was unlikely she'd become pregnant naturally

StrangeToSee · 16/09/2021 05:36

Yes

TashieWoo · 16/09/2021 05:42

Yes, without properly trying! I had Pfizer, DP had AstraZeneca.

Sciurus83 · 16/09/2021 05:43

Yip yip 29 weeks

ThirdElephant · 16/09/2021 05:49

You guys are such cynics. My immediate thought was just that OP is newly pregnant and was worried about the potential effects on her pregnancy of having had the vaccine. Granted the updates make that less likely, but still... Maybe I'm naive.

Just in case- it'll be fine, OP. There are no vaccines that impact on developing babies when you have them before even getting pregnant, and lots of women have had this one while pregnant and gone on to have healthy babies. You'll be OK.

anon12345678901 · 16/09/2021 05:55

No but I haven't had sex in a year 😂

I know many who have been trying and got pregnant so it's not a conspiracy to stop people having children..

MimiDaisy11 · 16/09/2021 05:59

@GemmaRuby

Yes, and it’s triplets!! I hear the vaccine can do that.
😂
AnyOldPrion · 16/09/2021 06:03

I was aware that there was some suggestion of abnormal bleeding following vaccination in women, and also concerns about whether both covid and the vaccine might cause problems with the placenta. As the vaccine obviously wasn’t tested on pregnant women, or those trying to conceive, there was always a possibility, however small, that it might cause unexpected problems, so anyone saying OP is being ridiculous to have some concerns is not being very kind.

I’m generally very pro-vaccine,but was worried about my young adult daughter getting the vaccine for that reason, though didn’t try to put her off. Thank you OP for starting this thread and congratulations to all those who are expecting!

cultkid · 16/09/2021 06:08

Yes

Took a very long time for me

MyNameIsInUse · 16/09/2021 06:17

Yes, few days after we both had our jabs

IveGotASongThatllGetOnYNerves · 16/09/2021 06:21

Yes.
Me and my husband are both pregnant, it's a hell of an injection that's for sure.
We're a bit worried how he's going to give birth but maybe They can use a really big needle to make a hole.

AFuturisticalSound · 16/09/2021 06:35

I heard that now that over 80% have had both jabs that midwives are having to retrain as there's no work for them anymore

Spyro1234 · 16/09/2021 06:41

Yes

Yes but miscarriaged but that's the story of my life. Think the vaccine must make you super fertile as alot of my friends are pregnant at the moment! Or maybe just the age we all are...

ItsSnowJokes · 16/09/2021 06:55

Omg now you mention it no I haven't! I'm really surprised but maybe my husbands vasectomy and my menopause has something to do with it but it could be the vaccine as well. Hmmmmmm I need to go and research this on you tube.

ViceLikeBlip · 16/09/2021 06:56

Going on the scientific evidence of this thread, it sounds like the jab MAKES you pregnant?? Why is no one talking about this? I hope the media pick this up.

Dollywilde · 16/09/2021 07:00

Yes, DH had 2 AZ and I had 2 Pfizer. I’m now pregnant unexpectedly after a ‘one shag wonder’ single contraceptive slip up. For context in 2019 it took 10 months of very very frequent sex to get DD. So I’m assuming the vaccine had made us super duper fertile 😂 kidding

kungfupannda · 16/09/2021 07:00

Presumably there will still be relatively few people (statistically speaking) who are double jabbed and pregnant, because the jab hasn’t been available to those of prime childbearing age for all that long. So if this question was a study, it would be flawed from the start!

Umm, OP it’s not a contraceptive vaccine ….
