skyisblue21 · 15/09/2021 21:28

Have you gotten pregnant after both yourself and partner had first and second vaccine?

OP posts:
flibberyjibbery8 · 15/09/2021 23:10

No, my testicles were too swollen and I became impotent.

MrsSkylerWhite · 15/09/2021 23:10

Curious, what are “your reasons” for asking?

Sure you and the babe (congratulations, btw)
will do just fine.

Ari202 · 15/09/2021 23:10

I got pregnant after my 1st vaccine and will have the 2nd one after baby is born

PattyPan · 15/09/2021 23:11

No, but I am on the pill so…

Bagamoyo1 · 15/09/2021 23:22

@LawnFever

No, and yabu to use ‘gotten’.
I was thinking exactly the same!

If you're asking how people get pregnant, I am not sure if mumsnet is the site for you!

If you're asking how the PPs DP got the vaccine 11 months ago, I would presume he was a health care front line worker or vulnerable.

DoormatBob · 15/09/2021 23:27

No, and I'm still male. I don't think it has changed my DNA.

ThatWasThat · 15/09/2021 23:31

"I surveyed a site of 1000s of women of child-bearing age, in a population with 80% double uptake of the vaccine and over the period of a whole week I had only 50 responses of a confirmed pregnancy. This is concrete evidence."

redandwhite1 · 15/09/2021 23:34

Yes we had both been jabbed all of a week or two when we fell pregnant.

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 15/09/2021 23:35

I did after the first jab, I miscarried shortly after. Obviously if I'd known I was Pregnant I would never have had it done especially as I've previously had 4 other miscarriages. My OH isn't vaccinated yet

"Gotten" is a completely normal word in parts of the UK. I've never understood the snobbiness around it on MN.

Just wait. We'll be calling you 'Barbara' and arranging a baby shower, complete with afternoon tea and an ageing stripper named Bob within the week.

PP didn’t say 11 months though did they?

They said over a year, for that timescale to be true then the DP would have had to have been participating in vaccine trials surely?

Phew, thought it was only me that suffered with big balls.
Siepie · 15/09/2021 23:55

No, but DP and I are both women. Sadly the vaccine didn't work that particular miracle Wink

@HugeBowlofChips

Just for clarity, I didn't have a uterus before vaccination either
I enjoyed this clarification. So, the vaccine didn't cause your uterus to fall out, then? 😂

Was that an attempt at a joke, or...?

Why we making stuff up as well? They said over a year. So September 2020, at the latest.

ShaneTheThird · 16/09/2021 00:06

I'm hoping to get the vaccine in a month and hoping to ttc next month too so I bloody hope it doesn't effect us in any way.

I'm glad you said that, I thought it!

No I haven't become pregnant after being vaccinated but I wouldn't anyway :-).

Is there some link between the Covid vaccination and fertility?
