Does wearing a signet ring mean you're posh

So I've got feelings for one of my colleagues and I was speaking to my friend and mentioned how he wears a signet ring. Friend said I bet he's posh. It this true? I admit I don't really know anyone else in my life who wears one but I just wonder whether it's common to wear one. By the way there's nothing wrong with being posh, I'm not bothered if they are or they are not.
@MorganKitten There is a difference between a family crest and a coat of arms. The proper signet rings have a coat of arms on. Every surname will have a family crest if you google it. A coat of arms has to be granted by the College of Arms and is specific to individuals and family branches. Not everyone is eligible for a Coat of Arms.
I’m aware, not sure why you are telling me this though as I was talking about people I know who wear family crest signet rings.
A section of my family has coat of arms, they aren’t posh either.
