We're in a rented house, the neighbour ahs been in dispute with the landlorrd as she wanted half our garden given to her which the landlord wouldn't do (why shoulod they?) then she built extensions without planning permission that encroached onto our garden so they tried to take action, although they gave up due to money a few montsh ago.

We did the christmas card run alst week, ds1 made cards for all and posted one through er door- he was really prud and we taught him that neighbourlyness was a point of Christmas.

Just ahd it pushed back through the door ripped up.

Thank God ds wasn't here to see that- its his birthday, he'd have been heartbroken.

Want to go rund and slap her but won't and will just ignore byut so very, very very angry- she's 60 years old ffs, not a stupid teenager!

What an utterly horrible thing to do. I am outraged on your behalf.
DOn't use the word lightly, but... bitch

NatalieJane · 03/12/2007 09:59

What a cowbag!

How about getting her back with a drive-by-shooting or something?!

rudolphdoesntneedbratnav · 03/12/2007 10:00

What an evil witch, I mean to do it to a normal Christmas card is childish and horrid, but to do that to a card which has obviously been made by a child, thats beyond belief for you

what a horrible woman

Lazarou · 03/12/2007 10:15

tempting to go round there and have a go but she would probably be delighted with that reaction. Just don't do anything, and if you see her just say 'happy christmas' and wave in an overly sickly sweet way. YOu could also say 'did you get the christmas card?' and then observe the confused look. You can make her think she is going mad. Ha ha!

Peachy · 03/12/2007 10:18

I won't actuallys ay anything- she did loiter outside for a bit looking for a fight I guess, and I thought about sticking my head out and saying 'you are a very rude woman', but its not worth it.

Should I get stuck in a queue at the village PO with her I may look at her brightly and say something along the lines of 'Merry Christmas- we shall all be praying for you this year' which woudl piss her off immensely.

Funny isn't it, you look at the TV and all you seem to see is OAP's complaining about manners in small children! She knows ds1 is ASD, its supposed to be the season of goodwill, and this is appropriate behaviour? Think not!

She sounds like that horrible old woman in gremlins, mrs deagle!

NAB3littlemonkeys · 03/12/2007 10:31

I read that as you wanted to sewer at her!

kittylouise · 03/12/2007 10:34

Horrible old cow.

The best way to get to miserable, mean sprited old ratbags is to do the thing they least understand - be nice.

Infuriate the old witch by smiling and grinning manically every time you see her (a bright and breezy 'good morning' said in manner of stepford wife should do it).

Also get a CD of loads of kids songs, and play it loudly in the morning.

woodenchair · 03/12/2007 10:35

What a vile woman.

Is your house attached to hers? could you play some loud music or something to piss her off more?

mumblechum · 03/12/2007 10:39

Lol at "we shall all be praying for you"

Good for you for not rising to the bait. Sounds like she is a very bitter and unhappy woman and the best thing to do is not to let her upset you (easier said than done, I know).

sb6699 · 03/12/2007 10:42

Nasty, wicket, spiteful old witch!!!

I would have surely blown a gasket in your position - good for you not giving her the satisfaction. If she was loitering about outside its probably exactly what she was hoping for.

geekymummy · 03/12/2007 10:42

grrr what a horrible way for her to act!

Heifer · 03/12/2007 10:52

Good for you Peachy for not raising to the bait..

LOL at praying for you... you never know if may well work....

contentiouscat · 03/12/2007 10:52

I cant believe anyone would be so spiteful as to rip up a child's card, just comfort yourself that her mean spirit is what has caused her miserable and lonely lifestyle. Very sad but you cant solve her problems she is unlikely to become a nice person ever she was probably not raised by nice people so wouldnt know how.

Pretend she doesnt exist any more, people like this just arent worth the effort.

CarmenerryChristmas · 03/12/2007 10:58

I would just whisper discreetly to her next time you see her 'gosh, we were all very sorry to hear about your nervous breakdown, I really hope you are feeling better soon'.

Blu · 03/12/2007 11:16

Hopefully she will soon fall down the stairs and break her leg, and you will be able to choose, when you hear her feeble cries through the letterbox, whether to shout 'hard luck - you didn't accept DS's Christmas Card, so you don't get to accept our help', or whether to be kind and rescue her and make her choke as she has to swallow her pride.

sparklygothkat · 03/12/2007 11:20

what a bitch!! thats so mean...

Peachy · 03/12/2007 11:46

Ah Blu, I am so useless at holding any grudge wahtsoever if she needed even the most tiny bit of help (eg washing blowing over the line) Id do it anyway. I am a wee bit pathetic on the grudge front (not always a good thing- used to have an ex who kept running off with same woman and still couldn't maintain any anger at either of them....)

Debating whether to mention to DH, as he's likely to fly of fthe handle at her

Squirdle · 03/12/2007 12:09

What an awful woman!!! I'm so glad your ds didn't see that, poor little chap. Good for you for not rising ot it, thats obviously exactly what she wants. I think the sickly sweet route is the one when you see her, that'll throw her.

Ooh I am seething on your behalf. Oh a childrens christams song tape might be a good thing to play VERY loudly next to her wall...sing along too

jinglebells2shoessmells · 03/12/2007 12:21

omg just read the op. what a f* bitch.
words fail me

ShakeysGirl · 03/12/2007 12:23

I'd post the Christmas card back a little piece at a time everyday until Christmas
