Seen similar post about this a while back on Amazon.
Why do people buy these garments?
Why is this accepted - do women think it's cool? Do they think they'll pull wearing a top like this?
Why, when it says 'tits' is there a man modelling it?
AIBU to think this shit should not be sold anywhere in 2021?

I'm the dandy highwayman who you're too scared to mention
I spend my cash on looking flash and grabbing your attention

Thelnebriati · 29/08/2021 21:08

OK! 👍

NiceGerbil · 29/08/2021 21:10

Thus video (fans self)

Desperate but not serious

NiceGerbil · 29/08/2021 21:10

Anyone who doesn't know who he is.
Those vids are post punk top of the pops so aok nothing scary to watch!

Lockheart · 29/08/2021 21:12
Here's one example, the sellers shop has since been reinstated after she appealed;

distincttoday.net/2020/10/08/etsy-bans-sellers-i-heart-jk-rowling-items-while-promoting-products-with-f-jk-rowling-slogan/
So the seller wasn't banned, and she wasn't even selling Suffragette merchandise?

Thelnebriati · 29/08/2021 21:13

Try reading my post again if you are having trouble understanding it.

MurielSpriggs · 29/08/2021 21:13

@Thelnebriati

Unless we're working with very different definitions of "suffragette" and "child abuse" hmm

No, we really aren't. You could just google the petition?

Well you're the one making the slightly incredible claim! But I'm interested enough to Google "suffragette etsy petition" which just gets me a lot of suffragette merchandise being sold. On Etsy. Without being banned Grin

Thelnebriati · 29/08/2021 21:16

Again, you are misrepresenting my post. Google ''Etsy: Stop selling incest and child abuse themed merch petition''.

jesusmaryjosephandtheweedonkey · 29/08/2021 21:21

Are you my mother??

MurielSpriggs · 29/08/2021 21:21

It's like a treasure hunt. I get this
www.change.org/p/etsy-stop-selling-incest-and-child-abuse-themed-merch
Which doesn't substantiate your claim at all, which in any event seems to be subject to energetic backpedaling!

Thelnebriati · 29/08/2021 21:26

Reading it back, it could probably have done with a comma.

MurielSpriggs · 29/08/2021 21:28

@Thelnebriati

Reading it back, it could probably have done with a comma.
Ok, fair enough. Although that's asking rather a lot of a comma Grin
VenusTiger · 29/08/2021 21:51

@Vodka1

"do women think it's cool? Do they think they'll pull wearing a top like this?"

I don't get the meaning behind this, explain further? Grin

Is there a reason a woman shouldn't 'pull' for wearing that?

If someone was wearing a t-shirt that said 'vanilla sex only' is that ok? Or is that not out there enough to own its own thread?

Each to their own, who really gives a shit about other people's clothing choices 😂😂

You did this to start some petty drama about people liking things you don't, how silly. Do you feel better about it all now knowing some people agree?

What?! I've no idea what you're talking about tbh.

Wear this t-shirt for a kid to read and 'beat me' is okay?
Riiigghhhttt!!

VenusTiger · 29/08/2021 22:04

MN has changed.
I don't give a F if it's an Adam Ant t-shirt - it says 'beat me'.
It's bizarre to think anyone would wear it.
The idolisation of other humans is weird - to want to wear a tshirt AA once wore, okay, I get that - that's fashion, but purely based on the wording - it means you agree with it.

NiceGerbil · 29/08/2021 22:04

There's a million slogan t-shirts where the high street on a sat afternoon is not the appropriate place to wear it.

The most likely person to wear this is a man going to an Adam ant gig who is in his 60s and will keep his coat on till he gets in!

Apart from anything else. A man wearing this about generally would be at risk of a kicking. And a woman would be at risk from constant harassment.

EverybodyIsInteresting · 29/08/2021 22:07

He sings that too. It's a great song.

I'm not sure it would be quite your thing though

NiceGerbil · 29/08/2021 22:10

What do you make of my comment?

If a 60+ bloke wears it to an Adam ant gig and keeps his coat on till he's in which he more than likely would. What's the problem?
