Seen similar post about this a while back on Amazon.
Why do people buy these garments?
Why is this accepted - do women think it's cool? Do they think they'll pull wearing a top like this?
Why, when it says 'tits' is there a man modelling it?
AIBU to think this shit should not be sold anywhere in 2021?

It’s grim and I wouldn’t wear it but I can’t get too fussed about someone else choosing to buy it - it’s their choice.

Your comment about women pulling in it is an odd one though - not quite sure what you’re getting at there @VenusTiger

MurielSpriggs · 27/08/2021 23:04

I just don't understand MN sometimes - there are many threads about porn or violent sex but this is okay?

There are lots of different people on here, it's not all one person doing it.

The people who disapprove of other people's sex lives and clothing are busy expressing their disapproval elsewhere. If you want to get them onboard you need a more judgemental thread title Grin

Bagamoyo1 · 27/08/2021 23:13

It’s horrible. Bizarre that so many people are defending it.

Badabingbadabum · 27/08/2021 23:15

No one's come along yet to say that promoted/advertised items on etsy etc are often based on your search and browsing history. I'll be that person.

tttigress · 27/08/2021 23:16

I don't like it

But RE: Etsy, it seems to more and more like eBay, wasn't it originally for hand made items?

XenoBitch · 27/08/2021 23:16

YABU

I would understand if it was in Primark or somewhere like that. But this t-shirt (which I gather is linked to Adam Ant anyway, so an item a fan might like) is on Etsy. There are way worse things on there to clutch your pearls over.

Ah yes, we remember poor Gavin Barwell Grin

MorganKitten · 27/08/2021 23:18

Do you want to wear it, no. Do others, maybe. How does it bother you?

NotJuryDutyAgain · 27/08/2021 23:23

I can't imagine many people would wear that shirt, but at least the ones that do are very clearly advertising that they're someone I should avoid. I couldn't respect anyone who'd wear it and would be happy to give them a wide berth.

LynetteScavo · 27/08/2021 23:31

People are ridiculing this t-shirt.

Ridicule is nothing to be scared of.

LynetteScavo · 27/08/2021 23:33

But OP, if you wore this t-shirt , you'd be lowering yourself, forgetting all your standards.

Bimblybomeyelash · 27/08/2021 23:35

Well yes it’s vulgar, but it’s being sold online at Etsy, not next to the school uniform
At M and S, so I don’t think it’s worth getting too het up about.

Mishuckliza · 27/08/2021 23:36

That’s going straight on my Xmas list! 🎄

XenoBitch · 27/08/2021 23:37

saltinesandcoffeecups · 27/08/2021 23:38

OP, it’s fine you just need to wear this one (also found on ETSY)

SquirryTheSquirrel · 27/08/2021 23:39

Ridicule is nothing to be scared of.

Well, tie me up
And hit me with a stick
Beat me, beat me
Yeah, use a truncheon
Or a household brick, yeah
Beat me, beat me
There's so much happiness
Behind these tears
Beat me, beat me
I pray you'll beat me
For ten thousand years
Beat me, beat me

mommybear1 · 27/08/2021 23:43

Good grief

Backtoblack1 · 27/08/2021 23:46

‘I hate 'come' spelt 'cum' so I wouldn't wear it myself.’

This.

Such pedantry Grin

(I notice there's no punctuation either.)

MurielSpriggs · 27/08/2021 23:59

Gavin Barwell also went very quiet afterwards ...

Backtoblack1 · 28/08/2021 00:24

@MurielSpriggs

I’m not being a pedant. I just hate that spelling of the word. I can’t even bring myself to write it 🙈

CrazyCatLazy · 28/08/2021 00:28

“ Do they think they'll pull wearing a top like this?”

Funnily enough I don’t buy clothes on the basis of whether it will help me pull or not.
I buy clothes that suit me, fit my aesthetic or reference a part of my interests. If that may be a celebrity from my youth then so be it.
I don’t think “my choice may bother somebodies ideology of what I should/shouldn’t wear”.
YABU. Just as I or anybody else would be to criticise what others want to buy/wear.
