That aliens are us in the future.

FeralMeryl · 25/08/2021 19:46

@ladyjaye I had that feeling about an old house that my relatives moved into, that it was an entity in its own right (and I asked it to look after them!).

Maybe we do get a "do-over" at this current life, and that explains premonitions- people remember events from last time. I know that makes no sense!

NoNoThankYou · 25/08/2021 19:49

TreesandSheep I just had a gentle laugh at that as a subtle dumping method. I can't decide whether he's quite sweet or a bit of a wanker Grin (maybe both?!)

You sound very nice too, though!

Bebethany · 25/08/2021 19:52

Raaaaaaarr, some still do, visit the medical museum at the royal London hospital one day, mega scary!!!

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 25/08/2021 19:57

I don't really believe it but I can't help throw salt over my left shoulder. It's a reflex that I feel really bad if I don't act on.

Clearly I don't believe in the devil (or god) but it's really ingrained.

ThatWardrobe · 25/08/2021 20:07

And did you then marry your next date @Treesandsheepeverywhere?

name4change · 25/08/2021 21:18

I am probably a God , I just seem to know things that I don't remember learning, know how to get to places I have never been, and sometimes save lives.

Thank you. He certainly was a bit of both. It was a very confusing relationship that taught me a lot.

@ThatWardrobe

I did, that was the freaky part. It had happened with all 4 of his previous gfs.
I'd never really thought about getting married but he was adamant I would marry straight after him. He used to reference my husband when drunk or in his sleep. I was heartbroken when I finally ended it despite how dysfunctional it was.
I met my now husband 6 months later and we both knew at the end of the first date we'd marry. It wasn't until after DH proposed that ex's words popped into my head. After we got married, he ex messaged out of the blue. When I mentioned I was now married, he said, told you. Smile.
I hope he finds he's forever after.

That the magpie king knows if you are saluting and also greeting magpies and won’t be happy if you skip one.

That my childhood teddies will look after my sleeping baby!

@Bellend101

That if you eat two bananas in a row then spin around, you die. I heard it once and I know it sounds fucking ridiculous but I am way too scared to prove the "theory" wrong.
This made me lol!
Yesitsbess · 25/08/2021 22:49

Manhole covers. I still avoid 3 in a row.

I am 43.

TartanJumper · 25/08/2021 22:50

@IsThisAkissingBook

I actually think I may have powers. BlushConfused Anytime someone has done me wrong like quite badly I've wished bad on them and it's happened. Pretty serious things too yes it may be a coincidence but these things relate to either what they did to me. Or what I've wished on them. I wouldn't dare mention this in rl but I just needed to say it.
Ooh am hoping I have never crossed you IRL
TartanJumper · 25/08/2021 22:52

@Bard6817

Karma…. I’ve always tried to be a good person, and had good things happen to me, despite the best attempts of the wrong ins in life.

Conversley, the wrong un’s just seem to have whatever they give to others piled back on themselves.

In my experience, plenty of bad things happen to good people and loads of really nasty people have all the good luck!
Yesitsbess · 25/08/2021 23:10

Karma isn't an "instant payback" thing. It might happen in this lifetime but equally may not.

It's been twisted a bit by a culture that doesn't view 500 possible lifetimes as normal.

So if you view it in the sense that the wrong-un may come back as an Asura in around 80 years it does make sense.

that boris and his pals would know what they where doing!!!!!

Latte40 · 25/08/2021 23:23

That nothing is real long term. It is fleeting and momentary.

How we relate to each other is through our own biases and filters so how can we ever truly see another person?

We are each trying to actually understand our own fantasies and compare and contrast them with other's experiences.

We are different people for different people..so we have no idea who we actually are.

lovelychops · 26/08/2021 00:25

SnottyLottie may I ask about how you knew to do your spell? I'm certainly not looking to create another pandemic! But i really to help a friend with someone who needs removing from her life 🙃

Blufandango · 26/08/2021 00:50

@YesIReallyDoLikeRootBeer I feel the same too. Do sometimes think about trying to get help but then worrying that the help will mean stopping, and then something bad will happen? Of course it won't... but what if it does?

Dottydoll · 26/08/2021 01:03

I believe there is always a certain amount of fat in the world and if someone loses weight someone else will put it on. Makes me stay away from people on a diet!

it's so frustrating, because my sensible brain KNOWS nothing will happen if I stop doing my "things". I will tell myself okay, today I wont do it and everything will be fine and then I'll see. Then I panic thinking but what if something horrible DOES happen, and continue. I actually talked to a therapist about it before, but not enough to get to a point where I could stop.

Mothership4two · 26/08/2021 04:04

@ThinkAboutItTomorrow

I have to throw salt over my left shoulder too, in the Devil's face. An entity I do not believe in!

Mothership4two · 26/08/2021 04:21

I think of myself as a rational atheist and non-believer in anything woo woo, but, as well as the salt, I WILL NOT walk under a ladder (or scaffolding in case there is a ladder above I cannot see), no shoes on a table, avoid number 13, knock on wood for luck, think it's lucky to have a black cat walk in front of me, no open umbrellas in the house, if I find a money spider on me, I'll put it on the palm of my hand and I tip my imaginary cap at all magpies not just lone ones. My best friend gave me a necklace with a 'lucky' stone in it (cannot remember what it is now, but it's green) and I wear it all the time.

I don't believe in an afterlife but feel that the dead watch over their friends and family and I am definitely going to meet up with all my dead pets when I pop my clogs!
