Does anyone else just not like Jason Manford?
I used to quite like him but the last little while he's really started to annoy me and I cant really say exactly why.
Obviously I dont know him personally, Im just talking about as a tv presenter/comedian. I cannot help but roll my eyes and reach for the remote when I hear his voice - am I alone?

I like him. You know who really boils my piss? Fucking Brian Cox. Can't we have science programmes without them being dumbed down?

9 years ago, today incidentally, he wrote the most incredible and honest (and rather long) post on Facebook defending Gary Barlow who had performed at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games despite his Daughter Poppy being stillborn the week before.

This means I absolutely rate Jason Manford.

Like I said Jason was defending Gary. The trolling that was going on regarding his choice to perform that night was horrific.

He became the presenter of The One Show after Adrian Chiles left, a huge gig, and to be fair he was good at it. He had the right, family image. Then the sexting happened, and he quit soon afterwards.

I used to enjoy his comedy, but it started to slide in to some really shitty stuff, which he excuses under the bogus argument of “it’s comedy, I can offend who I like and they can fuck off”

He is far too up himself, his radio show is all about him rather than his guests.

Sure, he does charity stuff, but where do you draw the line? What are they allowed to get away with by offsetting using charity work?

I always get confused about the number of children he has, it's all shrouded in secrecy a bit... I think he has children with both wives and another child from another situation /relationship... Csn anyone clarify, or am I misremberering?

I actually like him. He seems nice enough (apart from if you're married to him of course...)

I’m always very suspicious of people who are very performative and vocal about their charity work (obviously not in the same ballpark but see Jimmy Saville). It just doesn’t sit right with me. Cheats on his pregnant wife but oh no it’s ok, look over here! Look at all this charity stuff! What a great guy he must be!

Lots of people have very odd martial set ups and ' love ' children ( see Boris Johnson for one example! ) but they still have to work and earn money and do whatever , we can't ban people from working because they have low morals or affairs or cheat: saying people they shouldn't be on tv because of it would mean most channels would be shut down overnight through lack of staff and the Royal family would have been extinct years ago as well.
Unless it is really terrible ( such as saville , Harris etc) what constitutes a witch hunt just because they happen to be in the public eye?
It's a gray area isn't it? Plus many shamed tv stars come back ( like Ant mcpartlin ) and are told his brave they are etc

His stories he tells make me cringe. They are blatantly lies and I always think 'no. That never happened'

If its a joke, tell it as a joke. Stop pretending it is something that has actually happened to you!!!

I have to turn off the telly/radio whenever he's on.

I don't like him. A long time ago, before the cheating stuff came out, I had tickets to see him. His gig got postponed. I asked why on twitter and he said it's because his wife was pregnant. Skip to the date the gig was supposed to be... He's on twitter posting that he's at a football match with his dad!! Got a refund on my tickets. Hated him since Grin liar

I have known him personally for about two years although not a friend we were in thr same friendship group. I dated one of his friends for a while so went to the pub and mixed with people in common. He had a side which was fun gregarious but I also remember challenging his very snobbish values when he said that people who lived in my area were common. I told him that is where I was from and he tried to back pedal but it was too late. I shared an A level class with him and he made a racist remark against another group of people a toral over generalisation trying ro be funny. I told him never to be a comedian as his humour was shit!
I don't find him funny, I don't rate him and would walk in the opposite direction if he ever said hello. But then again that wouldn't happen he wouldn't want to speak to me I'm to common.

Big difference between being on tour for a month and popping to a football match for a couple of hours though, unless the match was abroad.
