I’ll go first:

Losing a pet is not the same as losing a child.

Now your turn!

mums are 'entitled' to a night out.

Mums are not entitled to have a life.

Your DH/DP has the ability to be friends with a female coworker without wanting to have sex with her.

Imapotato · 07/08/2021 15:09

Being a stay at home parent is a privilege that most can’t afford.

Dogs should be allowed off lead and can be left home alone for quite a few hours.

I once started a thread about crisps - I wondered what posh/expensive crisps people liked as I was splashing out on some nice treats for a rare solo train journey. I got told I was selfish and awful for eating crisps on a train, people were glad they don't have to use public transport because of people like me, and the likes of "for fucks sake it's a train not a party venue" 😂 When all I really wanted to know was, are sea salt and chardonnay vinegar crisps really worth it? 😂

I don't start threads on here anymore!

GPs are generally caring and hard working

SimonJT · 07/08/2021 15:20

Shouting at your kids a handful of times is fine, they won’t be traumatised for life.

DarlingFell · 07/08/2021 15:20

@Hardbackwriter

Dogs aren't people
Thank goodness
ChainJane · 07/08/2021 15:24

Not all men are out to abuse women.

Hard work doesn't mean success, and success doesn't mean someone worked hard.

Your right to have a noisy dog or children doesn't trump everyone else's right to a bit of peace now and then.

Cyclists should be taxed and licensed.

Strictly Come Dancing is for middle class morons in the same way X Factor is for lower class morons.

A bottle of wine a night does not make you a "heavy drinker".

Elf on the shelf is a nice Christmas tradition.

If you want to celebrate your birthday you are hard work

Grandmothers should not want - or have - alone time with their grandbabies.

Should I ask people to take their shoes off when they enter my home?

I don't want the builders to use my bathroom aibu?

  1. It's OK to fake an orgasm
  2. Size doesn't matter
  3. We'd be better off without Scotland

@AdaColeman

What is the correct order for filling scones, cream then jam or jam then cream, and should butter be involved at all?
👏🏼 for being the only poster on this thread who understands the meaning of ‘uncontroversial’
igelkott2021 · 07/08/2021 15:36

Have not read all 14 pages so don't know if this has already been mentioned, but:

it's not ok for people to block your driveway, even if you don't need to go out right now

And:

Dogs are not substitutes for children and should not be taken everywhere.

Cyclists do not need to pay "road tax" because (a) there is no such thing and (b) the tax people pay on some cars is a pollution tax, not a road use tax.

Panickingpavlova · 07/08/2021 15:36

Anything to do with money, it trumps all to many mums betters who feel money is king of everything and no one owes anyone a penny.

LifesNotEnidBlyton · 07/08/2021 15:37

Men are commonly (I.e it isnt unusual) victims of assault by women.

(But because its "only" a slap (or a pat on the arse, groping his arms becuase they're "feeling his muscles", throwing something at him ect) or some such idiotic argument there's less support than there is if a woman is "only" slapped by a man and it's less likely to make official statistics because most men dont bother to say it's happened.).

Yorkshire's belong on a Christmas dinner

AleynEivlys · 07/08/2021 15:38

Having a 'fur-baby' isn't comparable in any way, shape or form to having an actual baby.

I have two dogs, one of which is a puppy, and I love them both but I wouldn't hesitate to shoot either of them dead if it meant my child lived. 🤷

LifesNotEnidBlyton · 07/08/2021 15:38

^^ because

Classica · 07/08/2021 15:39

I like calling pets fur babies and calling human babies skin pets.

vodkaredbullgirl · 07/08/2021 15:41

I have fur babies, as my kids are adults.
