Unsure about letting child go alone to birthday party

AIBU to not feel comfortable with letting my 9 year old (just turned) go to another 9 year olds party which is an hours drive away (with her parents) and 6 other friends. It's a public place they are going too which will be very busy, espec in school holidays. My mind always thinks worst case scenario. She is sensible, as sensible as a 9 year old can be. I don't want to hold her back but feel she's still a bit young, maybe end of primary school age is more appropriate for these kind of parties?? All her other friends, including her, had their parties at home.

The event isn't outdoors. It's indoors and in close contact with all the people she would have been in the car with. Likely the same people she'll be in a classroom with plus 25 others in a few weeks time. Time to relax a bit on the covid paranoia. Dc here have had to count towards numbers or socially distance from dc or adults since June 2020

But they have all been crammed in the same classroom together.

What difference would you driving her make to the covid risk?
Are you joking? Sitting in a car right next to someone in a confined space? Very different to at the party where they can move around

Yes but that's education and mandatory, doesn't mean we all throw caution to the wind, unfortunately covid is still about, I thought it was all about choosing what risks we take?
