She's biologically male obviously but also hasn't got as good a personal best as some of the other (biologically female) competitors

Just wondering, that's all! I don't agree she should be in that competition either by the way but nothing to say she will win since her personal best isn't as great as some of the others

He is a cheat , simple as that. He cheated a woman out of a space that rightly belonged to her.

Rhannion · 01/08/2021 12:12

And he isn’t the only male presenting as a female in the Olympics.

Kittii · 01/08/2021 12:20

This is just one of the many consequences of asserting that a man literally turns into a woman just because he says he feels like one.

It's a total fantasy and I can't understand how anyone can possibly accept it.

"VladmirsPoutine

Has the idea of a separate trans category ever been floated or not? That way everyone would be happy, it would be inclusive and there wouldn't be any to-ing and fro-ing about what constitutes a woman or fiddling about with hormone levels.

-It would not make people happy because it wouldn't pander to the validation of a feminine identity, whatever that means, in absolutely every sphere without exception."

See also trans wings in prisons. They don't want that. They and their functioning male penises want to be in with the women.
(Sorry for being off topic, not wishing to derail at all. Just wanted women who are new to the issue to be aware of this also)

BlueLobelia · 01/08/2021 12:25

That's not a derail. That is a major part of the current issue.

VladmirsPoutine · 01/08/2021 12:29

I suppose it all goes back to the orthodoxy that TWAW therefore there need not be a separate category.

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 01/08/2021 12:29

So this is the latest form of cheating not just taking performance enhancing drugs etc. Still the American cyclist Armstrong and that Canadian sprinter Johnson is possibly most infamous cheat of all amongst the classic Eastern European shot putters of yesteryear. I still recall a former Eastern European runner who was so male like in physical build and recently the South African male/female/other runner more recently running with pure females. Why are the Russians still allowed to compete if many of them were systematically cheating? This Olympic organisation is yet again perpetually mixed up in corruption and underhanded dealings as with former Olympic presidents etc. All this gives sport a bad image.

Arrowheart · 01/08/2021 12:29

It certainly takes some balls to compete at Olympic level in a sport full of women when you are a man. How utterly entitled and how very fortunate Lauren has a rich father. Oh, and also some balls.

TooWicked · 01/08/2021 12:35

@clickychicky Up until about a year ago I also thought all transwomen had had surgery i.e. had their penis ‘removed’ (inverted). I also thought they were probably on a cocktail of drugs to alter their hormones. Now I know the majority do not and are not.

FannyCann · 01/08/2021 12:35

This has all been carefully planned and orchestrated. It is part of a very long game with vast amounts of money behind it.

I thoroughly agree. They will not do spectacularly well and the BBC will not show the event or pay scant regard to it. Consequently the whole thing sails nicely under the radar paving the way for Next Time.

Has anyone wondered why we haven't seen a man in a short skirt and frilly knickers blasting the female tennis players off the court? The huge amounts of prize money must make it a very tempting proposition.

Imo the sports people are less interested in are the advance party, paving the way. Tennis is way too obvious and a partisan audience inclined to cheer for the underdog cannot be controlled. "They" want to sneak it in under the radar, before advertising themselves to the world. I give it two - three years, maybe one of the men in their early twenties who can see that they are never going to break through to the top ten or even the top fifty.

AfternoonToffee · 01/08/2021 12:38

I read the other day that everyone is making a big fuss about Fallon Fox and it is all part of the scene to talk like they do.

I think some 'supporters' are coming from a viewpoint of being inclusive to children, but with the current trend to block puberty it is probably unlikely these children will be achieving world standards.

And it really doesn't matter if they do, they still have a genetic advantage of extra muscle. There will always be advantage and disadvantage from a physical point of view even in amongst athletes of the same sex. It's not all about how hard someone works, however the ones who make it to the top all work hard. Some might be able to gain more muscle than another, some might have longer legs or better weight to strength ratio or whatever, but the paying field is generally more level. As soon as you bring in someone with that great a physical advantage then the minor differences amongst the rest doesn't matter anymore.

Fallon Fox, having been through puberty, will have a punch around 160% harder than a woman's I believe. I will find the link.

Quite a big difference on a contact sport.

162%

He got massacred against Ashlee Evans Smith though which was a delight to see

You could see how much his strength was helping him but still couldn't turn it to his assistant

OneTC · 01/08/2021 12:46

*advantage even

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/08/2021 12:47

Why are the Russians still allowed to compete if many of them were systematically cheating?

You may well ask Hmm Because the doping was a state-sponsored thing, the excuse is that the ROC athletes aren't competing for Russia at all but as individuals - though any fool knows that's hardly how Russia will present it internally

To my mind if you're out you're out (though copious bungs may well have got in the way) and if that's unfair on whatever few weren't drugged up then they can take it up with their own sporting bodies

Agreed. I think it’s temporary lunacy that will, over time, correct itself. It’s absurd.
334bu · 01/08/2021 12:50

You could see how much his strength was helping him but still couldn't turn it to his advantage

So basically a crap fighter relying purely on brute strength.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 01/08/2021 12:51

Funny how there are no trans women in…dressage

A side issue, it wouldn’t matter if someone was trans in equestrian sports as men and women compete equally. There would be no advantage for someone male bodied to identify as female, they’d still be in the same category.

Back to the main issue in hand, threads like this - where there are posters saying “I didn’t know trans women don’t have to physically transition to compete” or “I didn’t realise other people feel the same way as I do on this” is why threads on this subject belong in subforums other than just FWR. @mnhq please note!

Yes, I was wondering this too the other day. I think Wimbledon would be too conspicuous, as the matches are well attended, televised and attracted huge audiences. They couldn't control the booing.

Indeed, mainly because many of the drugs used reduce their performance. Because biological males require their natural hormone levels for things like bone density.

So they stay as biological males, avoid the medication and just say I'm a woman...look I grew my hair long and have some lippy on 🙄

This is the tip of the iceberg IMO.

Sneak one or two substandard ones in, see how it's received make sure it fly's under the reader then Paris 2024 sneak a few more in to the "other sports" boxing, rowing, sailing then 2028 swimming and track as the TWAW mantra has had over a decade to brainwash the population.

Be interesting to see the winter Olympics. Can't see many transwomen signing up for the figure skating pairs....

catfunk · 01/08/2021 13:01

@Vanishun

Somewhere out there, an actual woman who has probably trained relentlessly hard for years (without any benefits of testosterone etc) has lost out on her chance.

That's not okay. It's cheating and it's shit behaviour in the name of validating someone's feelings about themselves.

Just in case posters aren't aware, LH is not benefiting from testosterone. This is heavily tested before competing.
OneTC · 01/08/2021 13:02

U wot?

Littlekittyscupcake · 01/08/2021 13:05

She shouldn’t be in the competition. She has a male body which puts her at an unfair advantage against her fellow female bodied competitors.
