Oh stop! You're such a card ACB!

Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett expressed concerns Sunday that the public may increasingly see the court as a partisan institution.

Justices must be “hyper vigilant to make sure they’re not letting personal biases creep into their decisions, since judges are people, too,” Barrett said at a lecture hosted by the University of Louisville’s McConnell Center.

Introduced by Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, who founded the center and played a key role in pushing through her confirmation in the last days of the Trump administration, Barrett spoke at length about her desire for others to see the Supreme Court as nonpartisan.

The House select committee investigating the 6 January attack on the Capitol has instructed telecom and social media companies last week to preserve records of Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, according to a source familiar with the matter.

(CNN)Then-first lady Melania Trump declined to call for peace and non-violence as insurrectionists stormed the United States Capitol building on January 6, two sources with knowledge of the events of the day told CNN.

The sources told CNN that Trump's aide Stephanie Grisham sent her a text that said, "Do you want to tweet that peaceful protests are the right of every American, but there is no place for lawlessness and violence?" to which Trump replied with one word: "No." Grisham details the account in her upcoming book titled "I'll Take Your Questions Now," according to portions published in Politico on Monday.

Melania covered all of Doofus' points when trying to discredit someone speaking out with the exception of "I don't know this person. Maybe I do, maybe we've never met. I don't know".

@Roussette

Well.... we always knew she was as bad as him.
The article says "the former first lady's actions during the January 6th Capitol riots".

I think it was her inaction that was being noted? She has never stirred an eyelash, let alone a finger or hand, to try to make anything even the least bit better for anyone but herself, and that is what people have always found objectionable in her.

Roussette · 14/09/2021 12:32

Totally agree.

I always imagine she is a very selfish individual

Never mind the public.
The GOP sees it as partisan. And that is the problem.

I rather hope that he does run; it will split his party and unite Democrats like nothing else.

Washington(CNN)Two days after the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, President Donald Trump's top military adviser, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, single-handedly took top-secret action to limit Trump from potentially ordering a dangerous military strike or launching nuclear weapons, according to "Peril," a new book by legendary journalist Bob Woodward and veteran Washington Post reporter Robert Costa.

The only question I am left with is, Is Newsom in fact a good Governor? I genuinely don;t know, but I am disinclined to support him unquestioningly just because there is a mob of baying loons opposed to him.

IMHO he is. He came on early and strong in the pandemic. He's pro-choice/women's rights, pro-immigrant rights, pro-affordable healthcare, and believes we need better policing philosophies and 'tactics'. He's listened to the experts regarding climate change, COVID, firefighting, and education. Do I agree with every single thing he's done as Gov? No. But I can live with them because of his strong stances on issues important to me.

About the worst thing the Repugs could say against him was the French Laundry debacle which I admit was a stupid thing to do. But we all make mistakes it's just that ours weren't splashed across the news. At least he said he was wrong and apologized for it, which is more than Doofus (or many other Repugs) do when they're caught out. Oh yeah, and that he sends his kids to (gasp!!!) private schools. Like most of them do, I'm sure.

"Jared Kushner is said to be writing the “definitive” account of the Trump presidency, out next year."

I wonder whether he too plans to turn on the Fart and rend him? That could be fun to read.
