Am I being ultra organised and domestic goddess like, or am I being extremely unreasonable and inviting certain doom?

Soubriquet · 18/07/2021 20:08

Exactly how it sounds

The night draws in, it gets dark, washing gets darked on

TitsInAbsentia · 18/07/2021 20:09

@Thehogfatherstolemycurry

Spider willys Darked on washing Doomed I tell you.. Grin
Came for this...wasn't disappointed Grin
Mogloveseggs · 18/07/2021 20:12

Another about to do the same. I do it all the time.

ipswichwitch · 18/07/2021 20:14

I’m living dangerously and putting a load of towels on the line now. I’ve informed the spiders they owe me one since I saved one of them from certain death by drowning in the paddling pool today. There’ll be no willy action on my towels!

Wolfiefan · 18/07/2021 20:14

I always did this when I worked. That way I knew I wouldn’t run out of time in the morning to get washing out.
Here we have bats. They poop on night washing. Grin

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 18/07/2021 20:15

I'd do it too if it wasn't for the spiders. The little bastards hide inside and come out when I throw everything on the bed to sort.
That and the 4am seagulls who shit on everything. My car is a mess.

Mummyoflittledragon · 18/07/2021 20:16

You’ve just reminded me. Forgot to put the machine on earlier. Do not care about spider willies and my washing getting darked on. There is very little dark right now!

BoysTownGang · 18/07/2021 20:16

I do this too, but only in very warm weather… couple of lines full in the evening, dry by mid morning next day, so room for the next lot to go out. Super organised, that’s me!!🤣
But then I’m one of these nutters who prowl the house, washing winter coats, curtains, and anything I can find, whilst I’m certain of getting it dry outside! 🕷 I see you…

PrincessesRUs · 18/07/2021 20:18

I've just done the same you op!

Whatup · 18/07/2021 20:19

Should be dry by now if there's no towels!

birdling · 18/07/2021 20:22

I have just done the same.
I think spider willies are probably very small.

ladymalfoy · 18/07/2021 20:23

I've got the Summer Watch team setting up in my back garden to film the spider willy action. Chris and Michaela are really excited and enjoying macarons with their pot of tea.
The Dark is Rising......

UnsolicitedDickPic · 18/07/2021 20:25

@LemonSwan I do this too! Genuine question - why do I always feel so bad about them being rained on? I have been known to re-wash them after they've been rained on, I blame my Nanna.

Nannyamc · 18/07/2021 20:25

My goodness
How did your grans and mams manage? By doing exactly this no 1400 or 1600 spins then.

UnsolicitedDickPic · 18/07/2021 20:25

@ladymalfoy And now I want to read Susan Cooper. Grin

Window1 · 18/07/2021 20:27

Did it on Friday and I'm here to tell the tale.

Toasty280 · 18/07/2021 20:28

Omg hb did this last night and I had to explain darkened on and spider willies and had to get it in to hang on the garage- he was ready to call 111 on me

Essentialironingwater · 18/07/2021 20:30

I often do this. Comfort should bring out a new scent - "dark and spider bellend". It'll fly off the shelves.

Toasty280 · 18/07/2021 20:30

Hb= dh some weird autocorrect!

CathyorClaire · 18/07/2021 20:37

Spiders here seem to be daytime willy draggers judging by the numbers I find in am washing by pm.

I've just hung tomorrow's load out as per as I won't have time in the morning. The only time disaster has struck is when foxes dragged a low hanging hoody off the line. Think Superdry must have peaked in foxy fashion as they left it lying in the grass...

Workinghardeveryday · 18/07/2021 20:39

@greenlabelchutney be prepared for darked on washing (not a clue what that means - but will happen to you)
Spider webs, spider jizz (wtaf?)😂

greenlabelchutney · 18/07/2021 20:45

@Whatup

Should be dry by now if there's no towels!
It's all towels Grin

Good to know, thank you! Smile

I cannot do this , I'd get moths tucking their nasty powdery wings little selves into any hidey space and coming into my house uninvited .

I often judge one of my neighbours leaving washing out overnight - but I think theirs is LazyBastard-itis rather than being Super Organised

greenlabelchutney · 18/07/2021 20:49

@BetsWishes

I fear for your laundry. I think you will be re-doing your laundry. Thus further adding to the carbon crisis.
I think my washing might be the primary cause of the carbon crisis...where in the world does it all come from?!
