Inspired by another thread where a poster said she always has a box of lovely chocolates on the go and has one a night, I'd love to do this. I have a really sweet tooth, and do like to eat chocolate at night but I'm finding every bar too big , but of course if you start one, you finish it. I think I'd like to do the one chocolate thing but I'm very much a Cadbury person at mo and all the boxed chocolates in the supermarkets are a bit meh. So I need recommendations for boxes of lovely chocs , where you can just eat one at a time

@jaundicedoutlook Läderach chocolate is fantastic, especially the milk chocolate with cornflakes. The one with hazelnuts is also great.

Monty Bojangles

AnnaSW1 · 17/07/2021 20:12

Paul a young. My favourite chocolates

littlepieces · 17/07/2021 20:12

Meant to add Charbonnel et Walker and Lily Obriens are my fave boxes.

Howyoualldoworkme · 17/07/2021 20:12

Another vote for Audreys of Hove

forinborin · 17/07/2021 20:13

Paul A Young for me. Not even the chocolates (although I always have an emergency box), but the amazing salted caramel sauce which they sell by the jar now. The best thing ever created by a human.

UrgentExit · 17/07/2021 20:13

Not expensive and often on special offer in Tesco or Sainsburys, Monty Bojangles. I'm not even that fixed on chocolate, I could easily give it up and never think about it again, so a box lasts me a long time. I enjoy the odd one now and then though. Otherwise it'd have to be a dark chocolate with sour cherry or bitter orange.

I can’t believe Pump Street haven’t been mentioned….

These are really expensive but worth every penny. I don't really like chocolate but I like these.

DH used to buy it when he went to Switzerland - sadly he doesn’t go very often now and they won’t deliver to U.K. as far as I can see since (bloody) Brexit. But if you’re ever in Zurich they sell it at the Merkur shop at the top of the Bahnhofstrasse.

Cornflake milk in the smoothest chocolate - I could eat a kilo of it right now.

I'm pretty sure I have seen this occasionally in homesense!

@PineapplePatsy

It's a myth. No one eats one at a time
One of my DDs was able to do that.

She'd eat a couple of squares out of a bar of chocolate and put it back in the cupboard.

Oddly enough, since she's had children she seems to be more inclined to eat the whole bar Grin

My other DD never eats chocolate as she just doesn't like it.

Couchbettato · 17/07/2021 20:23

Monty bojangles.

They're like cocoa covered truffles and they're individually packaged.

crochetmonkey74 · 17/07/2021 20:24

Pump street sounds amazing but would I be able to ration the bars?

Winnithegreat · 17/07/2021 20:24

I agree with the Lily O’Brien’s ones - delicious and not so over the top expensive. Bought them for colleagues the other day and we all enjoyed them

UsedUpUsername · 17/07/2021 20:27

Irish chocolate is pretty good for this. I really like Lily O’Briens, some interesting flavours. Also Butlers but the flavours are more standard imo

londonmummy1966 · 17/07/2021 20:29

Prestat - if they're good enough for the Queen.....

They are expensive though so you'll need to ration them

The boxes are lovely though

Bean and Goose.

MissyB1 · 17/07/2021 21:00

@RampantIvy

Booja Booja. They are vegan, but don't taste at all "worthy", just rich and luscious.
Oooh I have an unopened box of these in my kitchen cupboard. I got them for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and wasn't sure whether they were worth trying. I will open them!
Boombadoom · 17/07/2021 21:01

Lily O’Brien for me.

CheesyChipsOnWembleyWay · 17/07/2021 21:01

Slatterys or northern chocolate company. Both delicious but rich enough to only need one or two

WhatdoImean · 17/07/2021 21:12

Some of the finest in the world... My spouse married me because I hot these I suspect :-)

Pacari! Ethical, organic and winner of loads of international chocolate awards

MrsMillhouse · 17/07/2021 21:19

I find it easier to only have small amounts of dark cholcolate. Aldi’s maser Roth chilli chocolate is sold as 5 small bars (looks like an 100g bar but is 5 little bars inside)
