Ok so maybe it's this muggy weather but I'm reliving my youth club years asking Alexa to play tunes circa late 80s\early 90s and DM popped up. Now whilst I only know and love a handful of their mainstream albums I've been reminded of how horny a combo his voice and some of their lyrics were.

So it's a hot evening, I'm on my own in the house & I'm all fired up after re-watching Depeche Mode videos inspired by this thread. Gahan's voice & his stage presence. Those hips... And Gore's songwriting & singing. They just get better with every year.

I've shut the windows so I can crank up the volume without disturbing the neighbours & am now dancing round the living room. Great way to spend a Saturday night

Have you seen the live version of Enjoy the Silence from a concert in Berlin, around 2012?

YouTube it - I normally hate live music versus studio music, but he pulls it together and it’ll make your heart happy.

My people!!! I saw them live for the 1st time about 15 years ago. I think everyone there had a collective quasi- religious experience during Personal Jesus. It was INTENSE.

Wow….how gorgeous is that ? I love his hands,I’m just noticed them here ( I know - weirdo) and I got sad watching that thinking of how he must have suffered to kick the habit. What a strong and special man. ❤️

I still cringe at this, decade later. I met Martin Gore at my first ever gig, Spandau Ballet at Brighton. I was a huge DM fan and went up to him and said "are you Martin Gore?" He said "yes", I just went "oh ok" and wandered off.

I'd probably do the same today mind you, still as socially awkward

I was a big DM fan in the 80’s and then went off them for years, felt really sad for him in the heroin years then came back to them a few years ago…and realised quickly what I had been missing! Dave really is hotter than the sun.
I agree with PP about Corrupt, it is the sexiest song of all time and also agree with whoever said his voice sounds hoarse with lust. Martyr is also incredible. My other favourites are Useless and Condemnation. They are an amazing band. Once a Devotee always a Devotee!
