to have slapped my dd age 18 months

its really not as bad as it sounds and i was having a terrible day.

i have been really struggling for cash this week, its not easy being a single mum on benefits and i was down to my last £500.

so anyway i pull up at the supermarket in the 4x4 to find all the p&t spaces have gone so i park in a disabled, jump out the 4x4 and snag my new boden top in the process.

i go to grab dd from the car seat and find it filled with sausage roll crumbs and empty fruit shoot bottles, i really should of bf her before we left but as it is so inconvenient (and i was drunk) i decided sausage rolls and fruit shoots were the way to go.

she starts screaming as soon as we get into the shop and no matter how many free grapes i throw down her neck she will not shut it, so i gave her a quick slap.

what would you have done if you were me

Very provocative - but I think you went ott with the slap and tipped it away from fun.

But good effort!

Camillathechicken · 24/11/2007 17:53

Hekate · 24/11/2007 17:53

hercules1 · 24/11/2007 17:54

Was it meant to be funny?

JeremyVile · 24/11/2007 17:56

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 24/11/2007 17:56

Camillathechicken · 24/11/2007 17:58

Completely unbelievable. As if anyone on AIBU would ever ask "what would you have done?"

mamazon · 24/11/2007 18:43

AIBU to be stunned at how many people have not "got it"

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 24/11/2007 18:48

ScottishMummy · 24/11/2007 18:50

Tamum · 24/11/2007 18:50

I especially like the "(and I was drunk)" bit

hippipotami · 24/11/2007 18:54

Surely it was obvious this was a joke; the posting name, all the MN cliches under one roof?

Under, would love to know who you really are

Scotia · 24/11/2007 19:25

AIBU to ?

Heifer · 24/11/2007 19:32

oh come on give the girl a break..

She has had a rough week after all.

Not bad effort - I have seen worse....

But I feel that you good do better if tried harder... needs to concentrate more and not be distracted by those around you..

better luck next time...

SpawnChorus · 24/11/2007 19:37

Well I sniggered... especially at the 'and I was drunk'

3andnomore · 24/11/2007 19:39
