Would you block her in?

I’m WFH and just taking my lunch so thought I’d also whip the bin out. As I do, a car crawls past and then reverses into our parking spot. (It’s our private spot and has our number sprayed in it as well as a sign saying ‘Private parking for number 30’) A woman gets out so I said “Excuse me, sorry you can’t park there” she looks and me and just wanders off up the street.

I mean, I get she might not have realised (although the sign is big and prominent) but to be told and then still walk off without moving - the cheek.

I was a bit taken aback if I’m honest so went back in the house and then I thought, no sod this and I went and knocked on the door of the house she went in, I waited a bit but no one answered!

I wouldn’t mind as such if someone was quickly dropping something off but she’s obviously stopping for a bit. The annoying thing too is the house she’s gone in has a driveway and there’s room for this visitor on it. So I’m a bit Confused to why she’s parked in our private bay.

Grrr, I can’t keep knocking as going back to work (WFH) in a bit, so would I be unreasonable to just block her in with my car? Blush I feel like I need to make a point Grin

Oh this is gold!! Please keep updating because CF parking threads that end with come uppence are THE BEST!!!

FatCatThinCat · 05/07/2021 18:48

I didn't say puncture them, that would be criminal damage. Just let the air out.

Letting the air out is also a criminal offence.

PersonaNonGarter · 05/07/2021 18:51

I’m gripped. Love a parking thread.

Your nice neighbour is a legend! Brilliant move!

Mooloolabababy · 05/07/2021 19:00

The sense of entitlement of some people totally baffles me!! I just don't understand how some people think it would be ok to park in someone's parking spot and be an arse about being asked to move!

Hollywolly1 · 05/07/2021 19:08

Ah thanks for this op,its getting funnierFlowersfor you

RogueMnerHidesUnderABigHat · 05/07/2021 19:10

It’s a great move by neighbour. I’m here for the updates now Grin

Tossblanket · 05/07/2021 19:21

I'd personally be a cunt and block her in, might teach her a lesson.

OhDear2200 · 05/07/2021 19:23

Can I just give OP 10/10 for diagram skills.

The people asked and she delivered.

awaywiththefae · 05/07/2021 19:25

DH just shouted ‘omg he’s back lol!’ so naturally I ran to have a look 🤣

CF neighbour has parked parallel to nice neighbour. He’s basically blocking half the road 😬 not sure what he’s trying to achieve because he’s not blocked him in and nice neighbour can easily drive off. I’ll try draw a diagram ☺️

No other movement has been seen. DH didn’t see him park just saw the car there.

They might not know who the car belongs to 🤭

She went hours ago.

The whole thread is seriously pathetic, based on someone parking in an empty parking space that no-one was wanting to use at the time.

@awaywiththefae

Equally laughing and cringing now, I feel so bad I’ve started a massive chain reaction 🤣

Neighbour came home (could see him from my ‘office’ window.) He parked in their other space (the one his wife normally parks in) saw him nosying at the car and then he knocked on my door, wondering if it was our visitor or if we knew who it was. I get on well with this neighbour and so naturally I told him the whole story. 🤭

Anyway he says he’s going to block her in and gets in his car and drives off left up the road (the other direction) so I think he’s just doing a U-turn to get a better angle to block her in but he must have changed his mind because he drove past her and has driven over to the neighbours house and parked right across their drive!!

I can’t believe it! I really wish he’d parked on her drive but no one can get on it now he’s completely horizontal across it. 😬

What an update! Grin

That the person who has actually paid for the use of that space, might have wanted or needed to use at any time, Unlike the trespasser.

🤣 It makes me laugh how people read a whole thread, don’t enjoy/get it and still have the time and energy to write a moany comment!

Doesn’t matter though it’s our space. If you had a drive and it’s empty it doesn’t mean that someone could park on it.

I wonder what CF wife and guest are telling (possibly not CF) CF husband? Will he tell his missus and friend that's they are CFers and it's no wonder people are blocking their drive? Or will he be gunning for nice neighbour now?

Oooh I'd love to know what CFers excuse is.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 05/07/2021 19:47

I hope nice neighbour just drives off now leaving the other car parked like an absolute plonker!

I'm not currently in my bath, does that mean anyone can use it? (Providing they bring their own water obvs)
