I’m finally beginning to get caught up in the excitement and I don’t even like football normally. I guess it’s a case of ‘if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em’ lol.

I don’t think they’ll win it, though they’re in with a shout this time. It’s great to see the excitement everywhere after the awful 18 months we’ve been through too.

I admit I cheated, the white is nail varnish but red is done with a Sharpie!🤣

On Wednesday I'm gonna paint my toe nails too, red/white alternating.
and if we get through then on Sunday it's full on face paint as well!

Gareth Southgate is a superb Manager and it does feel good that we have an England team to be proud of. It's all about the football and that's how it should be.

Yes. They are such a likebable team and manager. None of the swagger and arrogance of previous squads.

Even if they're out Wed, they've done so well so far. I just hope we don't go from Southgate's 'redemption' in the media to 'he's a crap and needs to be sacked!' if/when we lose.

I hope/predict for Italy to beat them in the final, although I'd prefer Denmark to beat them in the semis, as that's my team in the work sweepstake, so I'd be in for some 💰. Nothing against the England team but many of the fans are ridiculous. Glad I live in Wales.

We're only doing well because we've played shit teams, we play Denmark next 🙄 if we beat them we have to face Spain or Italy, both good teams.

I think that the current England team are a group of great people that come together and play like a true team without the usual egos of a few years ago. It's about football and team play as it should be.
They have played well and improved as they progressed through the tournament and not lost a single game or conceded any goals.

They don't seem to be the team to fear as used to. Only won one game in the group stage though they did have a tough group to get out of..which they nearly didn't.

But gotta beat who is front of you and no goals conceded is impressive. I dont think Denmark be too hard but we've had this before. I dont think if Italy get go the final it'll be the dream ending but even getting to the final be amazing. And in front of home fans and all..

I agree. I don’t think any team that qualified for the groups can be classed as ‘shit’.

There's a chance, although if it ends up England v Italy then its new home is certainly Italy. 😂

Shit teams England have played so far.

Croatia FIFA #14 runner up last WC.
Scotland #44 but for them beating Eng is the prize.
Czech Rep #40 but good enough this tournament to beat the Dutch and draw with the Croats.
Germany #12 had a hoodoo on Eng.
Ukraine #24 thoroughly destroyed.

So some good teams and some banana skins.

I reckon Eng will make the final and lose to Italy.

And Crotia knocked us out last World Cup...so progress there

Spinazzola is out as it has been announced he ruptured left achilles against Belgium. He is a big loss for Italy so maybe the football gods are working in England’s favour as well.

My heart is happy singing ITs coming home whilst my brain is try to exercise caution.

It's horrible isn't it ? I want them to do well ( esp Southgate!) but I know that their record of semi finals isn't good too. Denmark are not a push over.
