Pregnant immediately after abortion

I feel like an absolute idiot.
Had abortion mid may. Yet to have a period, just tested positive so I guess that’s why.
Not much else to say really. I’m devastated. Have been on the pill the whole time. Not sure even how far along i am, as I’ve had sex a couple of times a week up until last week since two weeks post abortion.
I’ve already called the abortion provider for another consultation and they were lovely and non judgemental but I feel so embarrassed and disgusted in myself. Has anyone else been through this? How did you feel? I am hoping they’ll be able to post the tablets out to me again but as I can’t pinpoint my gestation I feel they might want me to go in to their clinic

Don't beat yourself up over it. I had a termination after getting pregnant with the coil. Contraception can and does fail.

Their not going to make you carry a pg you don’t want.

This happened to me when I was 21. I was an idiot though because I hadn't yet started on the pill and somehow didn't think I could get pregnant immediately after an abortion. You see, that's an idiot.

The MAP only works to prevent ovulation. If you’ve already ovulated, it doesn’t work at all. Therefore, it’s not really suitable as contraception in the same way a barrier like condoms are. Anyway, start a thread and I hope you get some help.

It happened to me! I was taking the progesterone-only pill. The first time I had a miscarriage, and the second time I ended up with a baby!

I don't know, but I have fallen pregnant twice in my life while on the pill. It happens.
