This man is not only Health Secretary but a Member of Parliament. He represents a constituency and the people in that constituency.
This is why MP's should be held to a higher standard than the rest of us.
Cheating on his wife and breaking his marriage vows is not a private matter as he claims.
A cheating lying doctor may still be able to give excellent medical care but who wants a cheating liar to represent them in parliament? What does it say about them?
I'm shocked at people saying the affair is irrelevant. It goes right to the heart of the matter.

He’s had a relationship with someone who reports to him. That’s a sackable offence in most big companies. How sad that they have higher standards than our cabinet.

In the video that has been posted by a certain undesirable newspaper, our protagonist, Matt, the man who looks like your sister's first boyfriend with a car, looks down briefly at the carpet and positions himself to stand on what looks like a mark on the floor.

He is now in the prime position to be caught by the CCTV. He engages Gina, an old family friend, and does his best to "make it look good", hence the butt pinch. She's a bit reluctant but she's going along with it because he's a friend and he needs this favour.

Later, he goes to Boris and says, "See Boris, you're not the only one whose a hit with the ladies. You've proven that having affairs is no barrier to getting to the top. This is going to see me on the doorsteps of Number 10 one day. Now who is fucking hopeless?!"

I'm absolutely with you until the final paragraph.

I don't think MH has any interest in being PM (or I haven't got that impression to date, but could be wrong). I think he may have been given a tip off from someone, so he was putting it to the test with the help of a friend (the whole 'clinch' was very awkward to say the least). He has been proven right which aligns with Boris saying 'matter is closed' and no apology to his wife because she already knew the plan.

If the above is correct then he can then go after whoever put a camera in his office (team DC?) for invasion of privacy etc etc.

I could of course be wrong and he has been getting his end away for months and is a genuine sleaze but I'm not convinced (yet).

I'm a minor civil servant and if I did something that made it to the papers, I would have been out on my arse before I'd even put my handbag down Friday morning.
I feel like the pandemic has turned over the rock and a lot of horrible stuff has been exposed, i cant see the public having much faith in ANY government for a long time.

I honestly don't care about who he gropes and shags. Infidelity is commonplace and plenty of it goes on with couples presenting as conventionally and happily married.
I care about him employing her without public record or scrutiny and about him flouting rules he insisted others had to keep at great personal and emotional cost.

I'm even more disgusted by the fact that the PM doesn't deal in consequences, he knows that the country is morally barren and he can do as he likes and would be elected again tomorrow because the electorate is as morally barren as he and his government are.

MH isn't my cup of tea but unattractive peole do have sex and affairs you know. I bet there's many on here who aren't exactly oil paintings yet still shag others.

He has made a fool out of himself and should resign, no one can take him seriously anymore.

Yes not many seem concerned by this massive security breach. If someone is spying on ministers and selling that footage wtf else is going on.

As I said I think Johnson knew it was there. That's why there isn't going to be an investigation.

Why do you think that out of interest? I thought any workplace surveillance/cctv had to overt and all employees informed of their location. Don't get me wrong I'm not bothered he was caught out but what other more important secrets are being shared with third parties?!

There are people out there who cried themselves to sleep because they could not spend a few hours with a loved one who was dying. Relatives who weren't allowed to go to a care home to say goodbye to somebody one last time.

There are business who went to the wall, jobs and livelihoods lost. Children kept away from school and their friends, families seperated for months and months. Life brought to a standstill, Christmas cancelled, joy something that we used to have.

Why? Because people stuck to the rules, they did what they were told by this despicable government, and this small fraction of a Prime Minister.

Yet we have Hancock, breaking those very same rules. It just beggars belief. I don't care who he shagged, but I do care that someone at the very height of Government, the health secretary during this country's greatest healthcrisis, decided that rules were for others and that they didn't apply to him.

You can keep your memes and your funny little videos. This isn't funny, it disgusts me.

I reckon this kind of carry on is endemic in politics. He was one who was caught/set up. They are probably all at it.

Which makes this episode ridiculous, as one is as bad as the other and they know it too. If Johnson is PM despite his so called lack of morals and penchant for out and out lying, well forget any of them taking the high moral ground.

I think you are being unfair on teenagers. Most I know are far more discreet than HandCock.
