The 'Cheese and chive' bit of this is MN gold.

Hancock stood at the podium at the press conferences putting the blame on the public with comments like "dont blow it now" blaming the public constantly. Comments like "dont blow it now" putting the onus on us all the time. Personally he is one of those I felt psychologically abused by.

Zahawi is the one that couldn't tell the months apart when talking about vaccinations and said May was before March iirc...

He was also involved in the expenses scandal and in a sleazy "men only" event at the Dorchester where it's said staff were assaulted

Hang on though - inappropriate dealings both financial and sexual? I guess he really could do Hancock's job

Do you have any evidence that he thought Matt Hancock was 'hopeless and useless' for more than a year? I haven't seen any. What quotes and dates do you have a year apart? Did Keir Starmer think Matt Hancock was 'hopeless and useless' for more than a year? Do you have any helpful quotes from him as well?

If they were then they should have been drafted a lot better. Matt Hancock has quite a few errors in it (need be rather than need to be, missing commas etc) and Boris Johnson's though better needed a further proof reading

Possibly. They have the feel of being "prepared" though as if the drafts were oven ready.

Zahawi, the children and families minister, confirmed on Twitter that he went to last week's event, but left early as he felt 'uncomfortable'.

... I arrived at 8pm and left at 9:35pm as I felt uncomfortable. I did not see any of the horrific events reported by the FT. I am shocked by them and condemn them unequivocally.

That would be the Zahawi who charged tax payers to heat his stables and was required to repay by the standards committee (but only after the tabloids published the story).

Are they going to be together? Get married to each other in a year or so and put a new respectable shiny spin on it? Get it covered in the press and splashed on the cover of Hello and Tatler magazine a la Boris style? Will the bride be clad in Boho chic?
