This was shared in a school FB group for parents, I said I thought it was inappropriate for the group since it's meant for discussing school related things.

@Mousetown I'm glad you posted that reply it was very strong and brave. I hope dismissive pp's learned something it. Flowers
I am sorry you had to face the trigger today, sending you a big un-mumsnet hug, squeeze and pat on the back. Smile

babbaloushka · 25/06/2021 15:06

@Mousetown Strength, love and support. Twats like that make recovery so much harder. Flowers

Oh look, one post from OP, over 100 outraged responses so far.

One may ask themselves, why would OP re-share this offensive thing here if they find it so horrific? And why not continue the discussion after the first post? And one may well answer themselves... Well done OP, the shit stirring went moderately successfully today.

@SaltAndVinegarSandwiches

The kind of person who posts this to a school chat is blatently the kind of person who wamts people to get offended so they can roll their eyes and complain about 'snowflakes' not having a sense of humour.

Mmmm, indeed, I quite agree. Don't you OP... Hmm

TooManyBones · 25/06/2021 15:47

Apologies for not putting a content warning originally. Glad it's there now.

I have been working and we're not allowed to have our phones so that's why I haven't responded already.

The post is still up. Yes, I reported it, of course I bloody did. It upset me. But it looks like I'm the only person in the group that's bothered by it. Or at least the only one brave enough to say anything. I've been called a fun sponge, told to chill out because it's a joke, someone also told me I was a cunty little snowflake alongside a #bekind and then I was snubbed at pick up.

I'm glad that I'm not alone in thinking it's an awful post, with the replies I got on FB I was doubting myself.

Really weird thing to find funny

tillytoodles1 · 25/06/2021 16:54

@Mousetown, I'm so sorry you had to go through that.x

MrMeSeeks · 25/06/2021 16:58

That’s awful

ILoveToads · 25/06/2021 17:51

That post is horrendous.

I find it strange that anyone could find it funny.

I would worry about a child of mine being in class with another whose parent thought that was ok to post. What kind of attitudes are they potentially exposed to at home?

I'm not normally a clutch pearls type, but that is very disturbing.

ohsuzannah · 25/06/2021 17:58

Disgusting!

Frazzledmum123 · 25/06/2021 18:08

I'm not easily offended at all and get sick of people being offended by everything. But even I think this is really crap, its just not something to laugh about and really distasteful. The thing is, sexual assault is far too common with many people never even reporting it, I can't imagine how someone who had been assaulted must feel seeing people joking about it. Not funny at all
