This was shared in a school FB group for parents, I said I thought it was inappropriate for the group since it's meant for discussing school related things.

@Rachelheels

Tbh I actually thought it was quite funny.

26yr old female who has been raped here btw

Lighten up guys, I swear some of you look for reasons to be offended/upset

You don’t get to speak for all rape victims. How dare you be so arrogant as to tell other rape victims to lighten up “guys”
RampantIvy · 25/06/2021 09:42

Is there not a moderator in the group who can pull this post?
What is wrong with you @Rachelheels? Hmm

Nothing in that post is remotely funny.

And IMO you should grow up @Rachelheels Hmm

Soubriquet · 25/06/2021 09:43

@Rachelheels

I think it’s funny.

But I’m not a snowflake or called Karen

And here come the rape apologists
UhtredRagnarson · 25/06/2021 09:46

That didn’t take long. True colours are hard to hide.
Sparklfairy · 25/06/2021 09:49

@Rachelheels you're allowed to find it funny I suppose. What you don't get to do is tell everyone else how they're allowed to feel or namecall people for not finding it funny.

Rachelheels · 25/06/2021 09:49

I really hope once Covid is over I am never at the same party as any of you lot

Orf1abc · 25/06/2021 09:50

The sentiment is spot on, especially when you look at the way the government has treated WASPI women.

The language is horrible. But the age group that this is aimed (not people with school aged children) will mostly find it funny.

I'd hope the group admin will use it. I doubt FB will.

back at you!

Zari29 · 25/06/2021 09:51

Rachelheels Aren't you just the cutest and coolest to find rape jokes funny... NOT .
Op just report it, hopefully fb removes it.

Oh no. That really hurts.

I'm hopeful that I'll eventually get over it, though.

shockthemonkey · 25/06/2021 09:53

It's incredibly old. It was circulating around the large multinational corporation where I worked as long ago as 1987.

It's adapted to the company, so in our case instead of "government" it said "HSBC".

ForeverSinging · 25/06/2021 09:53

That's truly horrible.

I hope you are. You could learn something.

Not me but if it was I’d own up to it
Slub · 25/06/2021 09:57

It wasn't even funny when it was doing the rounds in the 90's

dootsnoot · 25/06/2021 09:58

@Rachelheels

I think it’s funny.

But I’m not a snowflake or called Karen

Ooh, aren't you such an edgy 'cool girl'!

Don't worry, you definitely wouldn't be invited to any party I would be. My circle all found the 'snowflake' thing tired a good couple of years ago, and 'Karen' peaked during the first lockdown.

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 25/06/2021 09:58

@Rachelheels would you like to explain exactly WHY it's funny? Because I'm pretty sure every other poster could tell you why it isn't. I'm actually intrigued to know whats so funny about it

LolaSmiles · 25/06/2021 09:58

It's not funny.
If it did match someone humour then it's still weird that someone would share that to a school parent group where they don't know the audience well.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 25/06/2021 10:01

@Rachelheels

I really hope once Covid is over I am never at the same party as any of you lot
I highly doubt that we would be.

You are very clearly a 'pick me' girl, whereas I socialise with intelligent, articulate people.

You don't get to speak on behalf of all rape victims and what they should or shouldn't be offended by.

The very fact that you have written what you have is detrimental to rape victims. This is where we get "I know someone who was raped and they find it funny" thrown at us, which contributes to the misogynistic culture we live in. Your flippancy is a problem. I sincerely hope you don't have a daughter.
