People need to start caring it's a shame that posters are saying they don't care. That means they can do whatever they want because you like him.

Rory Stewart wouldnt have conducted himself in this manner and neither would have Corbyn. Neither would have Ed Miliband, Thatcher, Gordon Brown etc. They're not all shits, in it just to get as rich as possible and on power trips. But with the recent "populism" shitshow, the in-it-for themselves lot with no moral compass let alone ambition to improve things for the masses - the likes of Johnson and Trump - is the lot we always get into power.

He won't be under pressure to resign due to shagging - he'll probably get a pat on the back from his boss for 'sowing his seed' and being 'one of the boys'... but he might for wangling her a top job in his team? Chumocracy at work again. When will people wake up to what an absolute shower we have leading this country at the moment?

Whilst it is horrific for his wife and family who are the innocent victims in this, serious questions must be asked about how this leak came to happen. Who the hell is pulling the strings here and what is their real agenda?

Extremely shady behaviour by an extremely shady government. How are we supposed to believe they have our best interests at heart when they’re secretly backstabbing each other behind the scenes and the tabloids are running these types of stories. It feels very sinister, a distraction perhaps?

Last week it was the leaked Johnson messages saying 'Hancock is fucking useless', this week it's his affair. Knowing someone is doing a drip drip career assassination on you must make a fellow quite jittery.

Really? Or is it just MH was having an affair and it's now been exposed, same as happens to lots of people every day.

Johnson is a morality free Banter Journalist who happened to go to Eton. He somehow ended up as PM after playing a good poker with the nation's future (ie Brexit), which he personally couldnt give two shits about either way. He'll be much happier when he can get back to writing his little newspaper columns fulltime and recycling dinner jokes to people paying 5grand for a photo with him.

Have you never worked in an office where you knew an affair was going on and had enough anecdotal evidence to prove it if needed?

Now imagine that, but as well as the affair being an open secret in the team, you are operating in a world where you have the phone numbers of journalists to hand, and can ask Terry in security to turn a blind eye when you ask him to playback the footage from 6pm last Thursday, and leave it running on his monitor while he goes and gets his lunch

The point surely is not whether you consider affairs OK or wrong, not whether you think it doesn't matter as long as he can do his job, the reason it matters if you are an MP is that when you do something secretive and reprehensible you open yourself to blackmail and coercion and therefore possible unable to make decisions in an unbiased manner, because you have a career damaging secret to protect. That's why it matters for politicians, anyone saying 'I don't care about his sex life etc' is missing the point entirely - it does affect or potentially affect his ability to do his job. And when your job involves the life or death of others, then you are unfit for purpose and dangerous.

But if he was to change his policies etc because he was being blackmailed, then that would be a different “misdemeanour ” to having an affair

His poor wife and kids. I do think this coming out is weird, definitely some people behind the scenes trying to take him down. His own fault though!

I have no sympathy for him, especially since he was publicly so disapproving of the government person who got caught breaking covid rules as he detoured to see his mistress, (pot kettle Matt), but find it nasty that someone has gloatingly sat on that cctv footage for a while before releasing it.

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer Matt, especially when you are working in a dog eat dog cess pit.

His only saving grace seemed to be that he was a harmless twat. Whereas in fact he now seems a not very nice twat. His poor dw & dcs and hers. Two families ruined.

Just feel a bit more low than I otherwise would. I don't really give much of a crap who Hancock has sex with, but it doesn't make me feel better about him. I hate that Cummings is still pulling our strings. I hate that our Prime Minister is so shonky and somehow this throws more light on that, they all seem the same at the moment and I don't normally say that. I hate that 'Grant Shapps' has appeared to make a statement like he's a serious human being. I hate that someone in the Dept of Health has flogged the CCTV footage for no doubt some sort of bribe. It just makes me feel really flat and uninterested in politics and life. They might as well pick politicians by lottery.
