AIBU to only fancy Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Orlando Bloom as Legolas?

I am not even slightly interested in either of them in anything else or in actual life. In fact I would say they are a turn OFF in real life interviews when I’ve come across them.

But as those characters - absolutely

Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as vampires - neither of them have ever been even vaguely attractive to me otherwise.

I don't like Legolas. He's too poncy

I would, however, be thrilled to play 3 in a bed with Unkempt Aragorn and Eomer (phwoar)

I'd also like to add an honourable mention for James Purefoy but I'm afraid he's attractive in too many roles to count for this thread 🤣

Have to agree with Jrm in The Tudors as well. One of the final scenes when he saw himself looking younger with the white horse actually took my breath away at the time.

Not Thor for me but at the very end of the latest ghostbusters remake, when he’s leading the zombie dancing. There is NOTHING so attractive as a man who can laughter at himself.
(Exception, Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons/fighter pilot in Dunkirk: first time I saw him and fell in love - and you only ever see his eyes, old fashioned swoon 🥰)

The scene in Loki where the robot makes his clothes disappear while he's standing in the middle of that amazing brutalist hotel actually made me gasp a little bit. I’m not sure what got me more. Loki and all this velour curved sofas you could violate

I've never found Tom Cruise attractive in anything, then I saw some stills of him in character as Stacee Jaxx (in Rock of Ages I think) and..... oh my!

YANBU at all, OP.

I think the actors have objectively the same level of attractiveness in real life (i.e. they're not being heavily edited on camera) but they're not as attractive to me, so it's got to be something about their characters' personality traits that's the turn on.

So... the conclusion I make, is that we're not utterly shallow beings. We're good people!

Absolutely agree with you! Legolas has always captured my heart million times, but only Legolas in the LOTR, not a fan at all in the hobbits franchise. He just didn't seem like the same Legolas at all. Orlando bloom a simple no from me. Loki another absolute yesss, just hot!! They both are!! But Tom hiddleston himself, I just dont feel any attraction whatsoever. But glad to know I'm not the only damn person on this earth who falls in love and goes super crazy over a character but for the actor just a nope. :)

I don't fancy either of them in anything but YANBU. See also Viggo Mortenson but only as Aragorn and Sam Heughn only as Jamie Fraser in Outlander.

Just wanted to give an Aragon Klaxon - the LOTR films are all on at the cinemas this weekend for the 20th Anniversary or something! Basically it’s the chance to ahem admire the acting of Viggo in all his grubby Stridery glory on the big screen again! 🙌
