Absolutely sick of this frightened government. Let's get them out and go back to normal life please. Boris is a joke. One rule for him at G7 another for us plebs. He can piss off now thanks.

The PHE data is freely available and all over the press.

The vaccines work. SAGE are wrong.

@LemonRoses

Deaths aren't going up. The vaccine is doing what it's supposed to. The rest of the data is irrelevant.

For accuracy, 138 people in critical care, with C19, on Tuesday compared with 0 two days before. Not the overwhelming numbers but a definite increase.

This is not accurate data. What's your source??

Look at ICNARC please rather than just making ITU numbers up to try and scare people.

@TaraR2020

Only thing is, op, what if we end of with Mogg? Or Gove?? Confused
Mogg? Even the Tories aren’t that stupid. They’d be out of power for ever.
Pyewackect · 17/06/2021 13:18

This democracy thing is a real bugger !.

Whyhello · 17/06/2021 13:20

There are no better alternatives other than a different party all together. Who would lead if Boris went? Raab? Gove? Fucking hopeless Hancock? Seriously. They all need to go.

Boris is an embarrassment, he always has been but people like him. They like the fact they’ve done so well with vaccines and they like the fact he ‘got Brexit done’ (even though it was always going to happen). I think a lot of people like his bumbling oafish persona too, they find it amusing. I can’t stand him personally and think he totally humiliates the country.

rosie1959 · 17/06/2021 13:22

For as long as the Labour party continues to be the best asset to the Conservatives you haven't got a hope in hell

Blossomtoes · 17/06/2021 13:23

The good old Boris factor has a lot to answer for. God knows how long it will take for them to see through him.

khakiandcoral · 17/06/2021 13:26

Remember February/ March last year?
"the lockdown will NEVER happen in the UK, the government will NEVER shut the schools, people will not tolerate it".

then we went to "we will NEVER have another lockdown, the people are speaking, we had enough".

@lavenderlou

The G7 was an embarassment. The scruffy buffoon act he likes to play up for the domestic public just doesn't wash for important global summits. There's a picture of the Bidens and the Johnsons walking along a beach. Joe Biden looked the epitome of statesmanlike, while Boris looked like an elderly labrador being taken for a walk. He came across even worse when he opened his mouth.
You take that back! Labradors are far smarter than Boris Johnson 😵
HOkieCOkie · 17/06/2021 13:31

Maybe you’d like the job OP? You seem to know all the answers.

Tealightsandd · 17/06/2021 17:31

@Hawkins001

Sometimes Machiavelli, wrote something similar, at times better to seem incompetent.
Good point actually. Could well be true. Sunak has the whiff of silent but deadly about him. (And definitely the type to blame it on everyone else).
TomPinch · 17/06/2021 19:00

@JewelGarden

I can't remember when we last had a PM who wasn't a complete twat.
Are you 3?

This is what gives the likes of Johnson the opportunity: "they're all the same".

Here's my lifetime list of British PMs in reverse order.

Johnson: A Premier League twat.
May: Control freak, sclerotic, not a twat.
Cameron: A venial twat.
Brown: A bully, but not a twat.
Blair: Machiavellian, definitely not a twat.
Major: Nice, not a twat.
Thatcher: clever, bully, not a twat.
Callaghan: Avuncular, not a twat.
Wilson: senile, not a twat.

Johnson is out on his own.

Blossomtoes · 17/06/2021 19:04

I can add the four before that @TomPinch. None of them were twats either. Especially Churchill and Macmillan.

HareofEasttown · 17/06/2021 20:36

@TomPinch given you are so brilliant, maybe you should put your hat in the ring?

AgeLikeWine · 17/06/2021 20:44

Given that he has the overwhelming support of Tory MPs & membership, has a majority of 80 seats in Parliament, is 10 points ahead in the polls, and there doesn’t have to be another election until December 2024, I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you, OP.

Your best hope is that he gets bored of the workload as PM or that his finances come to a point of crisis where he has to leave Number 10 to make a lot of money quickly.

AgeLikeWine · 17/06/2021 20:49

@JewelGarden

Until he lost his mind over Iraq, Tony Blair was easily the best PM of my lifetime. I’m proud to say I helped to deliver the 1997 Labour landslide as an activist in a very important ‘bellweather’ marginal seat in Derbyshire.
TomPinch · 17/06/2021 20:56
@TomPinch given you are so brilliant, maybe you should put your hat in the ring?
No - I know my limitations.

Unlike Johnson, it seems.

LemonRoses · 17/06/2021 21:00

TomPinch you can have my vote to replace Johnson, if you go for it.

Hopefully he will be held to account in the near future and be forced out.

PracticingPerson · 17/06/2021 21:09

@Workingfromhomeishell

Hmm

You are not qualified to make these statements, surely?

I am pretty certain you are not educated enough or experienced enough to make a judgment about whether these leading scientists are correct or incorrect.

jasjas1973 · 17/06/2021 21:11

Even Johnsons siblings thought him an idiot.

But so long as the UK keeps saying "but what about Labour?" or "that Cummings, i wouldn't trust that weasel" we will be stuck with the tories.... pls look at what DC is saying able to prove?

People seem incapable of realising what is happening in healthcare, its collapsing, yet Bojo is riding high in the polls despite doing nothing about it.
Just been reading a letter from an care agency owner to Hancock, it had me in tears, that sector has collapsed.

Agree with everything @TomPinch has said and the PP who cringed at Bojo at the G7.

Quaggars · 17/06/2021 21:15

Who is there who's better?
I'm with you on getting rid btw.
As long as we can ditch all of them and get Labour back.

SofiaMichelle · 17/06/2021 21:22

@Quaggars

You can't have a Labour government because that's not what the majority want.

It's just not happening.

Definitely need Johnson and co' out, but it will be another Conservative government when it eventually does happen.

AuldAlliance · 17/06/2021 21:39

@TomPinch
For the very first time in my life, the US President looks statesmanlike and the UK PM is a dick.

Obama was entirely statesmanlike.

And President while Cameron was PM.

PracticingPerson · 17/06/2021 21:41

You can't have a Labour government because that's not what the majority want ... at the current time. Current polling numbers are soft, no one knows where public opinion will be by 2024.

This. A huge amount can change in three and a half years. Surely the last 15 months have taught us that. The government has lots of scope to fuck up completely in that time, they’re already doing so well.
