It's still light in Scotland - I'm just back from Tesco, perhaps I made too much noise driving down the street?.................

Rosieposy89 · 14/06/2021 22:09

9.45pm isn't an antisocial time at all.

fashionablefennel · 14/06/2021 22:11

I am so grateful for my neighbours!

No one is making ridiculous noises after 7pm, meaning EVERYONE can sit in their garden in peace if they want.

elizabethdraper · 14/06/2021 22:12

I have no issue with this.
I wish my neighbour was cutting his grass, might get rid of the mice nests

DrDresaid · 14/06/2021 22:13

9.45pm is not late for mowing the lawn.

NoProblem123 · 14/06/2021 22:18

Will people of MN get it in their head once & for all that Neighbours Do Not Care About Anyone But Themselves.

ChocOrange1 · 14/06/2021 22:21

Wouldn't bother me. Its a one off isn't it, not like he mows his lawn every single night of the week. And its only going to be for 10 minutes or so. Not worth losing sleep over.

Skengman · 14/06/2021 22:25

Calling 111 will be a waste of time the police wont come and they'll tell you to call the council noise/anti-social behaviour team.

And the council can't do much before 11pm.

ToooOldForThis · 14/06/2021 22:27

Possibly he has a job to go to, children to see to, and this is chance to get it done?
You'd hate the time I do the hoovering OP!

Twistered · 14/06/2021 22:28

Can't believe this thread is here after I've just read the other one 😂

DramaAlpaca · 14/06/2021 22:29

It wouldn't annoy me at all. Mowing at 9am on a weekend, however...

Chesneyhawkes1 · 14/06/2021 22:29

I have neighbours that do this. Annoying when you've gotta be up at 2am for work.

Sometimes I think maybe I should mow mine at 3am before I go in 🤷🏼‍♀️

tiredoftiers · 14/06/2021 22:30

It’s an ideal time to mow. Most folk not yet in bed and nightshifters up and headed to work perfect Grin

doodleygirl · 14/06/2021 22:30

Surely there is something else to moan about?

Ostara212 · 14/06/2021 22:30

All this science and tech and they can't invent quiet versions of these things

Too busy adding a billion apps to phones to drain battery power when you only need two of them. Meh.

Germolenequeen · 14/06/2021 22:31

Don't be so ridiculous OP 🙄

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 14/06/2021 22:32

I’d have no issue with this, hardly late. I presume you will make noise in your own garden that they may hear.

Thislittlefinger123 · 14/06/2021 22:32

Meh. It's not really that late is it? And a lawnmower is hardly a 747 outside your window is it?

Meatshake · 14/06/2021 22:32

Bit of a dick move if you've got close neighbours, particularly if they've got young kids. 8.30, 9 would be my cut off I think.

Although maybe it's me thinking of my ridiculously loud petrol mower, maybe an electric one is quieter...

Boomisshiss · 14/06/2021 22:35

I think you are allowed to make noise till 11pm if I’m correct

But 2am would be unacceptable noise . Noise hours are 11pm to 7am so you would be the unreasonable one .
