Posting here for traffic...

Doesn't matter if you're already married, never getting married...I just need help and inspiration! I've listened to so much and can't find anything I like. I need to find some new stuff so I am crowdsourcing, hoping someone comes up with a gem.

What would you walk in and out of your ceremony to? (Civil, not church).

JesusWeptonaBike · 10/06/2021 20:53

Nothing as I got married in a park.

Unless you count the sound of a rat scurrying around in the bushes behind me....

supersuds · 10/06/2021 21:02

In - Calon Lan

Out - Men of Harlech

Butteredtoast55 · 10/06/2021 21:20

Most recent wedding I went to, the couple had a piano DJ and he was really good. My friend walked in to A Thousand Years and it was magical.

QuinionsRainbow · 12/06/2021 22:29

In - can't remember

Out - the fast jazzy movement from Sibelius's Karelia Suite, skilfully re-arranged from the full orchestral score to the organ

penguin23 · 12/06/2021 23:08

In - A thousand years by The Piano Guys

Out - Gravity by Embrace
😊

I’m an atheist but got married in a Catholic Church. So all the music had to have God in it, no time for any of this popular music from the hit parade!

I got my own way with the string quartet at the reception.

namcybotwinbloom · 12/06/2021 23:24

Walked in to At last by Etta James
Walked out to signed sealed delivered stevie wonder.

I actually can't remember my filler songs.

First dance was Sam smith latch the acoustic version.

Marmalady75 · 12/06/2021 23:24

We picked instrumental music from one of my favourite films. Quite a few people asked us about it as they thought they recognised it, but couldn’t place where from.

Rosewood017 · 12/06/2021 23:40

Bridgerton had some lovely classical versions of pop songs for inspo!

Halo by Beyoncé worked well - heard some buskers play it. And Ed Sheeran - Perfect

Tiramumsu · 12/06/2021 23:44

Our first dance was to the Wannadies You and Me Song but it would work as part of the service.

3ormorecharacters · 12/06/2021 23:47

I’d have You Don’t Own Me by Lesley Gore

On repeat.

BritWifeinUSA · 13/06/2021 00:36

First marriage we had a harpist.

Second marriage we had no music at all. 7-minute ceremony that covered the legal basics. Then drove away with “I miss the misery” playing loudly in the car.

Tillygetsit · 13/06/2021 02:44

In was Pavane by Faure (its the beginning of an S club 7 song!)
Out was Wings of a Dove Madness.

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 13/06/2021 05:29

Walked in (together!) to the acoustic version of Every Thug Needs a Lady by Alkaline Trio, which is/was just gorgeous and makes me smile every time I hear it now.

Walked out to 25 to Life by Masked Intruder which was more fun than soppy!
