It's mindless 'entertainment ' which we all could do with after this year. I watch it with my 4 teenagers who enjoy tearing it to shreds,( but they still watch it!) And we enjoy working out the clues and insanely shouting 'get it off.'........ helped by a few strong G&Ts 😁

Don’t like it myself but don’t see any harm in it either. I’d probably have liked when was a bit younger, I used to watch Mr Blobby when I was a child and I can just imagine how a certain section of the public would have said it was crap/should not be on. Also would have complained about how much celebrities were paid (on bbc and commercial tv).

As OP says at least now there are more choices- not online for us though as our internet speed is rubbish.

Even without the guessing/celebrity/panel bit those dancing sponges were brilliant. And Bonnie Langford was amazing. Just a really fun watch. Where else can you see a giant dancing Knickerbocker Glory?

As someone who grew up in a country with American cable TV, I assure you this this shit is not 'American'. I've now lived in the UK for over a decade and still find most of the entertainment shows insufferable, it's like they're making shows to appeal to children, yet so many adults seem to find it entertaining
