I was just washing up the crusty dishes that DH helpfully put in "to soak" and used some pampered chef plastic scraper to get the grot off and thought how simple yet clever (yes I might the two cheapest items at a party years ago).
I feel like I need more stuff like this. Small or large but to make my life easier. Tell me yours ? I fancy being nosy and I'm bored

The eufy robo hoover. I love him.

Silverstreaks · 21/05/2021 08:46

OXO good grips cherry and olive pitter. We had a huge amount of cherries last year and this little tool was brilliant.

A Lidl egg boiler. Poke a hole with the handy attachment, pour a measured amount of water, flick the switch and wait for the beep. No timing, no fuss and perfect boiled eggs.

Both work surprisingly well and have not been relegated to the back of the cupboard.

My basic jug coffee machine and a smart plug. My alarm wakes me, I press snooze and tell Alexa coffee on. 10 minutes later I go downstairs to fresh coffee.

Feckauras · 21/05/2021 09:01

Vitamix, saves me time having to chop vegetables finely, also makes decent smoothies in seconds from frozen fruit and dash of juice.

MintyIguana · 21/05/2021 09:08

Love my thermapen If I hadn't had it I would almost certainly have overcooked the massive very expensive piece of beef we had for Christmas.

wingsofsteel · 21/05/2021 09:08

Weight watchers omelette maker. My attempts at making omelettes the traditional way always ended up really bad scrambled egg. With this I can just pop in the mixture whilst I get on with something else and always get a nice, fluffy result.

Best gadget ever though was a cheap plastic microwave rice cooker I was given as a student. It was basically just a plastic bowl with a lid and a slightly smaller bowl with holes in the bottom in the middle. Perfect rice every time- even with cheap student budget rice. It sadly broke a few years ago and I have not found anything half as good.

Thanks @LakieLady 👍 will be googling that frantically now 😂

HopeHappy · 21/05/2021 10:02

Cheapest - electric milk frother and warmer - £40 off Amazon and makes the best capuccinos

More expensive - cordless vaccuum cleaner (I actually can be bothered to hoover now)

Most expensive - Dyson Air Wrap - honestly didn't think anything could beat my Parlux hairdryer but here we are - I've had so many comments on how nice my hair looks!

@Alfxn

Our robot lawnmower. We have a pretty big garden and it always looks golf course pristine now, with no effort at all! Makes our house look ten times better from the outside.

I would love a eufy/ robot vacc too, but that's not on the cards for a while...

LInk please :-)

Dishwasher and a little device that chops vegetables in seconds.

SpringLoadedJizz · 21/05/2021 10:25

Joseph Joseph Delta potato masher, it folds flat so no getting the drawer stuck when you open it.

Also their Helix potato ricer if I want things extra smooth. It's a twist function to press the potato through rather than a press motion and I find it so much easier to use with my dodgy hands.

I also have one of their washing up bowls with a plug in the bottom. I have a huge ceramic sink so it saves us a lot of water (and I'm always scared of chipping the sink or breaking dishes) and I don't splash the water everywhere when I empty it.

Mysterian · 21/05/2021 10:28

A head-torch. They're like having an extra hand. No having to hold a torch in one hand while trying to use the other to do 2 things at once. Pretty cheap too for such a useful thing.

ginghamstarfish · 21/05/2021 10:36

I love my slow cooker, use it a couple of times a week to batch cook and put stuff in the freezer. Recently got a pie maker, and very pleased with that too, makes pies, quiches, cakes, cooks eggs, so quick and easy to clean.

Chanjer · 21/05/2021 10:43

Leatherman micra, gets used for something every day

scorpio32 · 21/05/2021 10:46

Magnetic charging cables. One cable can be used for all of our devices. Other brands are available...

So many!

Airfryer, Instant Pot, Window Vac, Food Processor, soup maker...

frazzledasarock · 21/05/2021 11:15

Joseph Joseph - Multi-Prep Salad preparation set. I use the salad spinner part a lot and the grater is really useful as the bowl is really big.

Bamix blender, I use hand blender a lot and its by far the best one I have ever used. If I ever replace it, it will be with the Bamix professional which has a longer stick.

frazzledasarock · 21/05/2021 11:16

Miele cat and dog vacuum cleaner I've had it for seven years and it's going as strong as when I first got it. I recommend it to everyone.

AutumnLeafDance · 21/05/2021 11:17

My Thermomix. I've used it at least once per day for the last seven years. If it broke down tomorrow I'd replace it immediately.

FastFood · 21/05/2021 11:43

Smart plugs + Google Home in each rooms of my flat.
For now, only my living / kitchen is equipped with smart plugs, but it's so good to say "Google turn everything on" to turn all my small lamps at once.
In my bedroom, I use my voice only, so I don't need my phone to set up the alarm, to turn the radio on, to know what time is it, and what's the weather like.
In my study, I use it as an assistant, I can play and stop music, I set a timer for my blocks of time, it tells me when it's time to leave work etc...

Sweetener12 · 21/05/2021 12:01

Not really a gadget, but I've upgraded my Photodiva to an ultimate version and I'm happyyy Glitterball It's originally a free portrait editor, but I got bored by the existing filters and decided to get more
