I HATE my wedding dress

xela21 · 19/05/2021 16:38

I'm getting married next month, my dress has arrived and I hate it. I need to find a new one and fast. Please help?

I have toyed with the idea of non-white dresses, at this rate I'm open to anything. Ideally wanted a midi length pale dress that doesn't look like a bridesmaid dress (The one I have bought is blush and floaty and bridesmaidy). :( :(

I was about to suggest monsoon.

That looks like a lampshade. The Asos one is lovely.
Bluntness100 · 19/05/2021 17:21

That ghost one is beautiful.

Some lovely ones on here, albeit slightly above budget.

imaterriblepersonarenti · 19/05/2021 17:22

Chi chi London do really nice wedding dresses.

frumpety · 19/05/2021 17:22

Monsoon have some lovely dresses in their wedding dress collection, have a look there or what about Phase Eight, I think they do wedding dresses too ?

Self Portrait have some absolutely gorgeous ready to wear bridal dresses that are a bit different: www.self-portrait-studio.com/bridal-edit/brides They’re not very size-inclusive, though, so might not be what you need.

irregularegular · 19/05/2021 17:25

Or they have some midi options too if you still like that idea www.ghost.co.uk/bluebell-dress-oyster-df52ca-n29

of course, if you don't like a vaguely 1930s type look ( I love it and actually had an original 1930s dress!) then you will hate these!

Definately · 19/05/2021 17:25

Try the pre loved wedding dresses uk Facebook page, it's very busy.

mahguy · 19/05/2021 17:26

That looks like a lampshade.

Nonetheless still needle & thread like.

irregularegular · 19/05/2021 17:26

Really love some of those self portrait dresses!

ginoginellizzz · 19/05/2021 17:26

This is where I have recently ordered a dress from. Some fabulous options in all different colours.

Iveputmyselfonthenaughtystep · 19/05/2021 17:27

There's some second hand bridal dress pages on Facebook. Worth a look. I'm trying to sell a gorgeous 1950s style lace one for my friend who's trying to make space for a new arrival Wink which is why I know about them. I'm having fun browsing, anyway!

otterbaby · 19/05/2021 17:27

BHLDN does international shipping and loads in the sale.

Definately · 19/05/2021 17:28

Kitty and Dulcie have a sale on too, you could buy a brightly coloured sash to go round the waist of a white dress to change it up a bit.

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 19/05/2021 17:28

Try Phase 8 or Free People. The latter in particular do some beautiful ones.
