Just saw a big row unfold on my FB feed because someone posted they've had their vaccinations and can't wait to go on holiday and they quite a few negative responses calling them selfish 🙈. I just wondered what others thought?

If France want to let us in by August, then we'll go. Everyone except DCs will have had both vaccinations by then.

So long as they follow the rule, no. We have no idea what people have been going through or what challenges they have faced over the last year or what things they are still going through. If they want a holiday, so what?

@C00lChat405

To holiday in their home country or abroad ?

I don't work in the NHS, but if I had spent the last year covered in PPE for 12 hour shifts & caring for sick people. I would think that a holiday would be a welcome break. As long as they have travel insurance & are aware that lockdowns may occur at short notice

You think 12-hour shifts in PPE is a new thing for NHS employees? My mother retired last year after almost 40 years with the NHS. She spent her whole career doing 12-hour shifts wrapped in plastic.

Certainly not selfish as long as rules are followed, both here and at the destination.

Selfish are the ones on that Zante flight last year or the idiot from Bolton who went on a pub crawl instead of quarantining.
