I’ll start.

I’m a 30-something middle class white woman drinking Pinot and listening to Dido while her DH is working away.

I’m also wearing a Breton-striped jumper and love naice ham.

What have I become?

Your turn

@StoneofDestiny

Glaswegian - friendly, great sense of humour, but not to be messed with, challenges injustice, bows to nobody.
Hahahaha

Glaswegians are only friendly on the surface.

And no, just because you talk to people at bus stops doesn't make you friendly (or unique)

Helicopter parent.
Pre-teen dc.
Polishing the school shoes, checking the school WhatsApp, making sure homework is done 'properly' and looking forward to shopping for pencil cases and stationary. All on a Saturday afternoonHmm.
Still discussing Friday's spelling test and interogatingtrying to discretely gage whereabouts ds sits in the spelling results hierarchy.

PurpleWh1teGreen · 08/05/2021 16:52

HCP. No sympathy for any family members who are ill and able to discuss disgusting things whilst eating dinner.

Live in the country, own a black lab, keep Boots on the door step & drive a muddy vehicle.

Theblackdogagain · 08/05/2021 16:53

I'm an accountant. I have a grey/blue /black wardrobe and keep a spreadsheet of out personal accounts. I have binders full of bank statements.

BetterThanKleenex · 08/05/2021 16:56

I'm a young housewife and my older husband works full time. He works hard and I'm basically a Stepford wife. He wears a suit for work, I spend the day in loungewear but get dressed and made up for when he gets home. We shop at Waitrose and John Lewis. I have Loaf sofas. I wear cashmere.

We're very happy and not Stepford robots though Grin

GonnaBeYoniThisChristmas · 08/05/2021 16:58

Corporate drone.

Wear suits, work in finance, very organised (anal) and totally bought into management speak and corporate life.

It all stops on Friday at 5pm tho. Wink

ForkedIt · 08/05/2021 16:58

I got married straight out of university, bought a house then started having children a couple of years later, now a SAHM.
Live in a detached Victorian house, husband has a ‘good’ job with some travel.
Small, fluffy dog.
Drive a ‘mum’ car.
Home birth, bf for 18 months each time, co sleep, baby wear.

I (and my friends and family) don’t know who I am Grin

stitchy · 08/05/2021 17:02

BillMasen · 08/05/2021 17:09

40 something divorced dad. Wears converse, drives a sports car, plays in a band.

Walking mid life crisis...

DumplingsAndStew · 08/05/2021 17:10

I am fat because I eat too much and move too little.

I'm a single parent on benefits, and spend most of the time the kids (teens) are at school sitting on my arse surfing the Internet.

RightOnTheEdge · 08/05/2021 17:24

Single Northern Mum on UC kids get free school meals.
I work in Spoons, have a massive TV, a smartphone and Sky TV. I don't have a dog but dream about getting a lurcher or greyhound type. (I wouldn't be seen dead in a flat cap though)

Now I feel like I have to say,
Massive tv I got from a relatives house after they died. My dad gives me his old phones when he renewes his contract and I watch all his Sky channels on Sky Go for free.

AlmostSummer21 · 08/05/2021 17:28

I'm a Canadian boomer. There were so many of us in my school days we learned in portable classrooms in classes of at least 40.

Somehow I missed out on the legendary cheap real estate and never managed to buy a house until well into my thirties. Vancouver, you know.

I dress in the West Coast uniform of yoga pants (with tunic tops to cover lumps), and rain proof jackets with a hood.

I am very skilled at eating delicious Asian food with chopsticks. Well, at least until the pandemic closed indoor dining.

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 08/05/2021 17:47

33goingon64 · 08/05/2021 17:52

I'm a gobby northerner whose parents ran the local Labour party; and am now married to a city worker with plenty of money, I drive a BMW and volunteer instead of doing paid work. Two stereotypes in one!
