To ask you to avert a war and name our new kitten...

Today our new overlord kitten came to live with us.

There is outright war between the DSs over her name.

DS1 wants Twix Or Elektra
DS2 wants Karamel or KitKat

The only thing they could agree on was that she either needs to be named after a biscuit/chocolate or have a K where there should be a C (this is due to the name of our old chap who we lost)

Having exhausted my peace keeping abilities I turn to the wisdom of mumsnet (with the half-hearted approval of the DSs) to declare her name.

The secret hidden option is to get another kitten and let them name one each

Pictures of the furball attached ....

So AIBU to stealth boast about how adorable she is ask you to name her?

Oh she’s gorgeous!

Krunchie it is

Selttan · 08/05/2021 06:23

I'm no help with names but I love a ginger cat.

She's just adorable - makes me wish I'd adopted my two when they were kittens (were 1 and 2) but seeing how crazy they are as adults I don't think I would've survived their kittenhood.

What a gorgeous little kitty!

Biskotti
Hobknob
Tunnocks /TeacaKe

Mikado (more Irish than English, but a fine biscuit)
Kimberley (a ginger and marshmallow sandwich, again maybe more Irish)

Definitely Krunchie if you want to keep the chocolate theme. If not, I think she looks like a Kiki
Don’t go breaking my heart ...

@mathanxiety

Mikado, (name/word) is actually Japanese. Smile

newnortherner111 · 08/05/2021 06:50

Any name you choose has to be able to be called out in public without you sounding completely stupid. Elektra is the only one of the four that seems to pass that test.

I'll leave others in MN to continue to provide what are probably better suggestions.

OrchidLass · 08/05/2021 06:56

Kookie or Krunchie

blitzen · 08/05/2021 07:01

Jaffa Kake
Biskit

MilkWasABadChoice · 08/05/2021 07:02

Clearly Biskoff is the best choice.

The end.

Just one more photo please though!!

MinnieKat · 08/05/2021 07:29

I had a beautiful ginger girl named Phoenix. Fifi for short. She’s gorgeous OP!

MarshaMo · 08/05/2021 07:36

Koko
Kiki
Karamak
Kara Mel

ClaryFairchild · 08/05/2021 07:43

She's so beautiful! I don't think any 3 syllable names work - they're too long.

So either Kimi or Kami.

ivegotdreadfulpmttoday · 08/05/2021 07:57

Beautiful cat💕

MargosKaftan · 08/05/2021 08:09

Shes gorgeous.

Call her chutney.

DeathMetalMum · 08/05/2021 08:21

I like Ginny or Klementine.

They won't keep their normal names though. The dc call one of our cats Mr Cuddles totally not his name!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 08/05/2021 08:24

That's a very pretty kitten.

I like the suggestion of getting another one and alliwing your DCs to name one each.

AJobToLove · 08/05/2021 08:27

Some of the names below are chocolate/biscuits from my country probably unheard-of if you are in the UK.

Ferrero
Milka
Break
Kiss
Lila Pause
Lacta (Lakta)
Ion (pronounced e-on)
Caprice (Kaprice)
Sokofreta
Pti-Ber
Flake
Merenda (the alternative of Nutella)

toffeebutterpopcorn · 08/05/2021 08:29

Oooh where are they from?

AJobToLove · 08/05/2021 08:32

@toffeebutterpopcorn

Oooh where are they from?
Greece Blush

Assuming the question was for my post Grin

Jellybabiesforbreakfast · 08/05/2021 08:38
