To hate buying toilet paper

I find it embarrassing, especially if it’s the only thing I buy (not so bad as part of the weekly shop). I ran into a work colleague earlier coming out of the shop holding nothing but a big pack of toilet roll. I‘m always scared that the person on the till/anyone who sees me will be assuming that I’m going straight home to do a massive poo.
I know it’s silly because obviously everyone buys it but I normally make my husband buy it.
Anyone else have this worry?

@greatauntfanny

if you ever bump into someone you know while carrying a 24 pack of toilet paper, simply look them in the eye and calmly say “I need TP for my bunghole.”
If all else fails, drop the toilet roll, pull your top up over your face, throw your arms in the air and say "Are you threatening me? My bunghole will ask the questions! I am the great cornholio!” and run home. Works for me.

To be honest, I'd walk out.with a pair of pink slippers if I needed them, people will judge regardless of x, therefore to me, embrace the moment and carry on.

If anyone was imagining me pooing because they saw me with toilet roll I’d think that was their problem rather than mine - filthy gits Grin

I used to be a bit like this - a lot like this - but shitting myself in front of five people in childbirth - while on all fours - has cured me of this problem. But I sympathise. Not only does childbirth cause you to shit and lose all your dignity, but it removes your head from your own figurative arse!

I hate spending money on it as it just goes down the bog. Couldn't be bothered If anyone saw me buying it we all use it.

lolacola77 · 25/04/2021 23:25

I think everyone is being a bit unfair to the op. I don't give a shit (haha) now but as a student we always ran out and I always drew the short straw to buy it from the gorgeous corner shop man 😂

iwanteggfriedricefuckingpronto · 25/04/2021 23:36

Ermmm.... no. I don't care who thinks or knows I'm dropping a log. Everyone shits.

I have Bowel disease so couldn’t give a toss if people know I’m crapping or whatever. We go shopping every 2 weeks and I buy a big bag of toilet paper do I care nope. It a completely normal I’d be more worried if you bought a load of newspapers.

DontBeRidiculous · 26/04/2021 01:40

I might feel a slight twinge over someone seeing that I'm buying certain "embarrassing" medicines or several large packages of feminine hygiene products, but I've never thought twice about buying toilet paper.

Maybe you'll worry less, now that you see that for so many people, it's never occurred to us to feel self-conscious about it, so there's no reason for you to, either. If I saw someone buying nothing but toilet paper, I'd just assume they'd run out and made a special stop, same as if I saw them buying only milk or bread.
