To ask how many bras you own?

Random question yes but how many?
I ask because I stopped breastfeeding 5 weeks ago (I'm heartbroken it's over but that's irrelevant) and don't want to be wearing maternity/nursing/unsupportive bras of course so I've just ordered myself some today. I've not gone mad, just from George but I've ordered 7. Couple of nicer lacie ones, but mainly just basic bras. Came up in conversation with DH (shared finances, no issues with me buying them at all) and he seemed surprised I'd bought so many. I guess before babies etc I just sort of accumulated bras...so would have different sizes in circulation which would get binned as I changed size/shape. This is a fresh bra start I suppose as I have none that fit.
Is 7 extravagant? I guess I just want to know if he has a point...

About 2 that actually fit, 7 slightly too small due to lockdown (a M&S extender means I can still use them, 3 sports ones (also too wee now), a good one that digs in my ribs and the one I got married in (definitely too small)...

@MamaBearThius
Have you tried a fitting at bravissimo?
After I stopped bf I treated myself and have never look back.
I usually buy black/white/nude in the same bra on the day of fitting as they are not cheap....but oh the difference....your boobs will thank you

BrownEyedGirl80 · 16/04/2021 10:24

4 and 2 sports bras

PaperMonster · 16/04/2021 10:27

Nine that I regularly wear (8 of which are the same brand/design): three black, two blue, two white and two nude. There’s also a couple of old ones that I should get rid of really in addition to the nine - they’re not as comfy, but in really good condition.

YouJustDoYou · 16/04/2021 10:28
  1. They're expensive.
Aprilx · 16/04/2021 10:31

I think buying seven all at once is a bit unusual, I cannot imagine doing that.

I own maybe 10 but some I rarely wear such as a couple of strapless ones for certain outfits. I have only four that I wear on a day to day basis.

Flowers24 · 16/04/2021 10:32

3

Lolwhat · 16/04/2021 11:56

None! They’re too uncomfortable I don’t bother, me and my FFs enjoy swinging in the wind🤣🤣

SpringItIsThen · 16/04/2021 12:01

@Everythingmagnolia

Number of bras I own - about 25

Number of bras I actually wear - 3

Grin

Decluttered my bra 'collection' - That's what they were just because of this same thing. I tend to only wear the same 2 to 3 things that I like so have learned to have that many at a time.

Only have 2 now that I wear (though there's extra 2 i couldn't throw out because I like them but rarely wear them. They're spare for "just incase").

When I need new ones, I'll get another 2.

@MilkWasABadChoice

I’ve got masses - more than a dozen. But only TWO that are comfortable. Sloggi Zero Feel ones with no wire and my god they are the best. Why did I only discover them so recently?? I love them. Thank you Sloggi.
I discovered them recently. Nearly two years after breast surgery and never found anything comfortable. I have officially thrown all my old bras away and bought 5 of these. Random colours as they are sometimes cheaper. I am pretty flat chested and have never envied those with big breasts, this thread illustrates why!
Bells3032 · 16/04/2021 12:39

Have about 4-5 regular wear ones, 2 sports bras, one strapless nude bra (for weddings etc) and then waaaay to many "can only wear them for an hour" lingere bras.

I have buying clothes but I am a sucker for sexy underwear although DH honestly doesn't give two shits

OneTimeAdvocate · 16/04/2021 12:40

Just one as flat chested sadly.
