Emily Norris spoke with quite an Essex accent, three years later she sounds Canadian even though she has lived in Essex all that time. And don’t get me started on the way she mops the floor with bare feet and the soles are filthy. Conversely, how she stands on her kids’ beds in her slippers, that she has worn outdoors, to make them. Why? This is supposed to be aspirational?

Lucy Jessica Carter comes across really odd. It’s like she’s reading from a really bad script. And thinks she is brilliant at styling and interiors but... well...

James and Carys are going to be insufferable now they have had a baby. James is so patronising and comes across as controlling. And the pair of them are so spoilt.

The Saccone-Jolys... where do I start?

I know I’m supporting them when I watch them but I love to watch and cringe! Guilty pleasure.

Why would regular posters name change to post every OP? Fair enough sometimes, but it’s odd to do so every time they initiate a thread. Lack of integrity?

Posters can namechange whenever they like. Loads of posters do it daily. If you want to post something a bit Hmm then namechange, it's easy to do and totally within Talk guidelines If it's 'integrity' you're after then you've come to the wrong place. Grin

@EmeraldShamrock

Regular posters name change to post an OP. Posters with a different opinion are not bad apples. You've brought it back to the playground. I ❤ Vlogger's. ✌
I’m so naive, I didn’t realise that regular posters do that. I can imagine it’s so no one identifies them but is there an element of it not in keeping with their Mumsnet reputation?!🤔

SmallPrawnEnergy · 16/04/2021 08:26

One poster decides, for whatever small reason, they don’t like someone and then follows them around making nasty comments and sly digs?
Like you bringing up a posters history with her husband just to cut her down? If you’re going to be a twat it’s best not to be a hypocrite too.

Sparklingbrook · 16/04/2021 08:28

There are posters that follow other posters around. It's easier for them if people don't namechange constantly because they can bear a good grudge over time then. But even namechangers give themselves away with their posting style quite often.

Never heard of any of these people but I really disagree with people exploiting their children for views. I expect to see their children on the stately homes thread in 25 years time.

If they need therapy in the future and they are asked 'tell me about your childhood' they can show the therapist. Sad

I feel this is a little bitchy and misogynistic. Instead of attacking these individual women, why not critique the system of capitalist-patriarchy that reduces women to their looks and ability to mother and keep house and then profits of them for doing so, whilst keeping them oppressed

The snippets I have seen on Instagram the husbands/partners are featured heavily. Don't know about the Mummy vloggers though.

Misogynistic!!! 😆 here we go!!!

Jesus! The men are vlogging the same as the women, they are the driving force in some family vlogs! They are the ones in the kitchen cleaning, cooking, chatting to the camera.

It’s the kids that have no choice in it not the women

What gets me is there are 'dad' blogs out there too, and are they constantly subjected to what you see play out across these types of threads, with their looks being pulled apart or their parenting judged? Are they chuff.

I really like at home with Shan. She comes across as a really sweet woman and her videos have been really helpful for me

just 2 off the top of my head there....they are hated on a par with the females, dont worry

I love Emily Norris's new house. It's gorgeous. I know her husband has a job but they must be pretty well off to afford that house and the big extension they're planning.
TBH it must be exhausting to be a Youtuber. One of my favourite Youtubers recently closed her channel. She said she was finding it too stressful and was giving her anxiety. Her channel isn't paying her mortgage though. It must be hard going to have to produce content all the time and be so "on " and excited all the time

Fathering Autism is another one, he has a lot of scrutiny on him too.
