Emily Norris spoke with quite an Essex accent, three years later she sounds Canadian even though she has lived in Essex all that time. And don’t get me started on the way she mops the floor with bare feet and the soles are filthy. Conversely, how she stands on her kids’ beds in her slippers, that she has worn outdoors, to make them. Why? This is supposed to be aspirational?

Lucy Jessica Carter comes across really odd. It’s like she’s reading from a really bad script. And thinks she is brilliant at styling and interiors but... well...

James and Carys are going to be insufferable now they have had a baby. James is so patronising and comes across as controlling. And the pair of them are so spoilt.

The Saccone-Jolys... where do I start?

I know I’m supporting them when I watch them but I love to watch and cringe! Guilty pleasure.

@MakingPlans21 oh yes some of the gift and even seasonal events are over the top but I wonder if it’s to get more views. Might be a bit boring just to say I got them the kids one Easter egg not sure that would get many views.

MakingPlans21 · 14/04/2021 21:06

@undermycatsthumb can you say who?

MakingPlans21 · 14/04/2021 21:07

@Sleepisoverrated150 I felt less guilty about letting mine have part of an Easter egg for brekkie on Easter Sunday after watching Emily’s video!
@Sleepisoverrated150 not to dismiss your tastes. Sorry if it came across like that. I’m just so curious about people who watch them cos they are fans. And why.
No not at all, we are all different and like different things! You haven’t been rude or dismissive at all. I always like to understand others view points too 😊

undermycatsthumb · 14/04/2021 21:09

@MakingPlans21 I don't want to say as I've made a personal comment about her. But she has been mentioned on this thread (not in your OP obviously).

Bluebird2021 · 14/04/2021 21:09

really recommend Clair Witt (farmers wife, normal non grey home,3 kids, doesnt do much ad/brand work)

and Charlotte Taylor (3 kids, normal home, does a lot of AD's but i feel they are relevant, puppy, emotional but does engage with her followers nicely)

Sleepisoverrated150 · 14/04/2021 21:16

@undermycatsthumb this is interesting! If you can’t names them can we have a clue? Promise if I work it out I would post her name.

Sleepisoverrated150 · 14/04/2021 21:17

who are these 2 actresses then?

Angelica789 · 14/04/2021 21:39

It’s a very weird phenomenon and has to be pretty damaging to your children to have the entire household income tied up in posting photos of them and using them to advertise things. It’s such a strange way to live. There’s a need to create Instagram content every single day to keep engagement high and the money coming in. Can anything ever happen in the moment or are the parents constantly wondering what today’s photos and stories can be?

tsmainsqueeze · 14/04/2021 21:42

I just had to look at sacconejolys on you tube ,oh my how annoying is he!.

LucindaJane · 14/04/2021 21:45

I watch family/mummy vloggers. Not all, but some that are mentioned on this thread. If I ever feel like their videos aren't to my taste/aren't what I need right now- I just unsubscribe. No need to call it cringy. I mean, why not just stop watching Emily Norris OP when you clearly don't like her?

Bluebird2021 · 14/04/2021 21:49

i love Shamsa too

Muslim family from Manchester ....lots of food/home content and ha cracking sense of humour

MakingPlans21 · 14/04/2021 22:21

@LucindaJane you’re missing the point. It’s like rubbernecking! I don’t subscribe etc to any of them. They come up as suggestions.

@tsmainsqueeze yes so annoying. I used to think he was punching with Anna but they both seem to be crap in their own ways.

@Angelica789 yes, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the cash cows kids have serious issues when they grow up.

The Unmumsymum is my favourite and Parttimeworkingmummy is my least.

Bluebird2021 · 14/04/2021 22:57

ah, yes,PTWM. whole can of worms that one!!

JackieTheFart · 14/04/2021 23:03

I find the whole concept bizarre. I have watched a few, and while yes, I might have a bit of the green-eye for their houses or possessions, that's it.

I absolutely couldn't be like them. I used to think I wanted to be famous - now, I can't think of anything worse than being scrutinised in any fashion by strangers.

alwayslearningsomethingnew · 14/04/2021 23:08

@Miltonma

What a bitchy post. Think you envy their status more than you'd care to admit.
Calm down Emily
Battenburger · 14/04/2021 23:43

Oh I really like them all !
Like Liza prideaux too and ebony from our tiny tribe

Blublubblubbing · 14/04/2021 23:57

I couldn't agree more about her standing on the beds in slippers! It gets to me every time but I must confess i do like Emily Norris. I think she comes across quite genuine. Definitely jealous of the wealth they seem to have, the massive house and in normal times the 5/6 holidays a year. I always think her food looks burnt in her meal videos too. Honestly I do like her though Grin

BlackBucketOfCheese · 15/04/2021 01:05

The Saccone Jolys are murky AF. I actually feel really worried about their situation.
Lots of stuff in their past and now their continued exploitation of their children and the manipulation is vile.

They are selling their children, exposing them to all sorts and they have fuck all in the way of ethics.

Quite a few parent bloggers found out their children were being posted on dodgy websites and still continued to show them on social media and YouTube.
Says it all.

BlackBucketOfCheese · 15/04/2021 01:06

Also of all of these mummy bloggers over use the word “obviously”.
