Ideas?

I want something really yummy, but simple and easy to make

Had nachos and choc mousse last week, easy and delicious

What should I have/are you having?

I'm totally watching FND tonight after reading this thread

BarbaraofSeville · 09/04/2021 18:52

@QueenPaw

Veggie takeaway. Don't ask me what it is, I just order the one where they pick for you Grin
Ooh that looks good. I'm guessing a thali thing. Chana masala, something paneer, vegetable pilaf, an onion bhaji, chapattis, pickles and is that a vada pav (spicy potato cake bun thing)?

I would have thought I'd died and gone to heaven if I could get that as a takeaway round here. There is one restaurant that would do the bits separately as it's like an Indian tapasy bar, but all that would be £20+, but I could make it last 2-3 meals.

cricketmum84 · 09/04/2021 19:11

Badger? But only if it's roadkill.

(Shitting shit on it)

sunflowersandbuttercups · 09/04/2021 19:31

Make sure you put a Hannukah bush in your living room too Grin

QueenPaw · 09/04/2021 20:41

@BarbaraofSeville yep that sounds like all the stuff I got! It was £17 but there was also poppadoms, another bhaji and another spicy bun thing

ListeningQuietly · 09/04/2021 21:52

just watched the lawnmower episode
now on Mr Morris

Bloodypunkrockers · 09/04/2021 23:05

I'm watching too

So many funny lovely posts. Made having to put up with yums so much easier

We had a lovely bit of squirrel. It was a bit dry. And crimble crumble of course

benorjerry · 09/04/2021 23:10

@cally8019

1. Get your phone
  1. Download Uber eats
  2. Pick your restaurant
  3. Order
  4. Sit back, wait.
  5. Receive delivery
  6. Tuck in and enjoy

it’s what Friday nights are made for.

You're clearly not in the sticks! The chippy/kebab shop has a lad on a bike and a couple of insulated boxes! Personally, chips, steak pudding and mushy peas done proper, hole in the pud and onion gravy poured in.
Milliepossum · 09/04/2021 23:22

Don’t forget to have a gin and tonic with Val, without the tonic.

FND is great.

TheRulesDontApplyToMe · 09/04/2021 23:36

Hello Jackie....... you look nice.

Fancy a bit of nippy nippy...... arrarrahrrarah

OverByYer · 10/04/2021 08:00

Ended watching 5 episodes back to back last night as the PP stuff was too much

peak2021 · 10/04/2021 08:18

So, OP how was the Pizza, and which episode or episodes of Friday Night Dinner did you watch?

HOkieCOkie · 10/04/2021 11:27

Thank you for the recommendation just binged the first 2 series’s and omg so funny!!

LaganinaBubble · 10/04/2021 11:28

I watched the one with The Big Carrot last night, oh my god I laughed so much 🤣🤣
Given how many times we burn toast in this house, we definitely need a big 🥕.

SheldonesqueHasTheWeevils · 10/04/2021 11:33

Guess which one I watched last night. Wink

I couldn’t quite fit in ‘infested’ sadly.

Misshapencha0s · 10/04/2021 11:56

Nippy nippy

MrsMackesy · 11/04/2021 13:05

Best ever advice from a parent from Dad: 'Don't waste gin. It's your mother's for when she's depressed, remember.'

HandforthParishCouncilClerk · 11/04/2021 13:09

Just wanted to make sure someone had suggested a lovely bit of squirrel Grin

We’re having homemade pizza - the Genaro contaldo recipe is idiot proof, and so satisfying to do!

mrshoho · 11/04/2021 13:24

The 'horrible' grandma episodes are so so funny. We are watching all over again too.
