Putthebiglighton · 09/04/2021 13:27

Ideas?

I want something really yummy, but simple and easy to make

Had nachos and choc mousse last week, easy and delicious

What should I have/are you having?

OP posts:
JosephineBaker · 09/04/2021 14:48

Puttanesca's my favourite CBA meal - takes about 12 minutes. Or mac cheese (possibly with peas and steamed broccoli in).

Or bread and cheese with a tomato salad?

FizzyPink · 09/04/2021 14:50

We are having Tandoori chicken kebabs from Pinch of Nom and also their naan bread which I’m planning to add a garlic butter to. Then a big green salad on the side

Teasgonecoldagain · 09/04/2021 14:52

@cally8019

1. Get your phone
  1. Download Uber eats
  2. Pick your restaurant
  3. Order
  4. Sit back, wait.
  5. Receive delivery
  6. Tuck in and enjoy

it’s what Friday nights are made for.

Thank you Uber Eats marketing team!
MrsMackesy · 09/04/2021 14:53

Dad's asserole. RIP Paul. Sorry OP.

MinnieMountain · 09/04/2021 14:54

Our planned meal is too healthy for you OP (sausage and carrot pasta) so I’d say burgers. Bung whatever you can find in the fridge that’s vaguely suitable on top to make them “fancy”.

Starborn · 09/04/2021 14:54

Roast gammon, baked beans, boiled potatoes with butter and grated cheese.

sunflowersandbuttercups · 09/04/2021 14:54

A nice glass of Jewish drinking water.

GreenSlide · 09/04/2021 14:55

A schmoigle

AudTheDeepMinded · 09/04/2021 15:03

We're having fish and chips as A) Zee cupboards are bare and B) I can't be arsed. Hope that helps?
But tomorrow Lasagne is planned, and fajitas for Sunday.

Ellie56 · 09/04/2021 15:04

Egg and chips

FlyingBurrito · 09/04/2021 15:05

@GreenSlide

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 09/04/2021 15:15

Haloumi salad and garlic sauce wraps.... bloody yummy

bert3400 · 09/04/2021 15:15

I was going to say Sausage Ragu from a local restaurant. But if you can't be arsed to cook Spag Bol you won't want to cook this ...but it is amazing

Tangledtresses · 09/04/2021 15:18

@EvilOnion

I'm having sweet potato chips (shop bought), leftover chilli (from the freezer) topped with cheese (grated by my own fair hands), salsa (shop bought) and jalapenos.

No effort required 😁

I made that exact thing yesterday oh it was so yummy
OverByYer · 09/04/2021 15:20

Aww I was too late with a nice bit of squirrel!

I’m getting pizza

viques · 09/04/2021 15:24

@OneofPansPeople

No idea what the squirrel thing is. I'm throwing together a veg chilli with a variety of beans and veg in the cupboards. Have a bag of tortilla chips - job's a good un!
It’s a quote from Friday Night dinner, the funniest daftest comedy on tv ever. Paul Ritter who died this week had the best lines of which “lovely bit of squirrel “ was one.

Others are

Hello bambinos to say when you see your children

And

Shit on it when things go a bit wrong.

RIP Paul Ritter, amazing actor, brave man.

OnwardsAndSideways1 · 09/04/2021 15:36

Aw, I thought this was going to be a thread about FND, I think there was one active a few days ago. We've been rewatching in memory of Paul, so many laughs in the past couple of days.

As for actual dinner, don't know! Ate the curry from yesterday already for lunch. Perhaps a takeaway would be best...

KrytenKrytinski · 09/04/2021 15:39

Forget about Uber Eats and the like, bloody internet food. 😁

(Paul Ritter is a legend, was very sad to hear he'd passed away 😔).

quiteathome · 09/04/2021 15:40

Going to have pie tonight

Loved Paul Ritter. Such a talented actor.

Shalom

Famousinlove · 09/04/2021 15:42

An easy meal we've been having recently is chicken with nandos sauce, leaving it in a bowl for an hour, cook it in the pan for 5 mins and have on a wrap

DoubleDeckerSwimmer · 09/04/2021 15:43

@Cadent

Nachos is not a meal!
It can be, depending what you put on top.

I serve mine with chilli con carne style mince on top, with diced tomatoes, guacamole, cheese and sour cream. Similar to tacos really, just with flat chips rather than the shells.

AdaThorne · 09/04/2021 15:46

KFC. No guilt here.

AlohaMolly · 09/04/2021 15:47

I call DS4 bobble because of FND

Wilson!

I can’t believe the dad is dead. I’ve seen Paul Ritter but didn’t realise who he was Sad

As for the actual question in the OP, my DP has been to Waitrose and bought a bag full of food that he won’t show me. Is this an option?
