I am absolutely sickened by this. I honestly despair at the world now - I know that there have always been awful people but please tell me I am not alone in feeling like we are being overrun by absolute vile creatures who get away without consequences for anything and that it is just getting worse

Beating a man into a coma and they get released on bail? Honestly have had enough, the world is just awful

Again. Not saying childhood trauma is an ‘excuse’ but somehow these children have learned this is ok. That’s what we need to fix.

It’s NOT, I repeat, NOT, that having a difficult childhood is a reason to ‘get away with it’ or an excuse for it. But we need to work out what went wrong with their development and fix that AND they need serious consequences for those actions. Jesus Christ. Is it that hard to contemplate holding both positions?

Also, just because you have had a difficult childhood doesn’t mean you’ll become a criminal but the more ACEs in your history the more likely it is. Also, of course there are criminals with no such history.

Not all heavy smokers develop lung cancer but it’s a risk factor. Not all people who develop lung cancer are smokers etc.

Recently, one man tried speaking up against yob behaviour in his area and his house, car and caravan were set on fire whilst he, his wife and children were asleep. They got out alive, then the yobs came back the next day to totally destroy everything they had. Google Sean Ivey.

What can we as a society do to stop the yob type behaviour, from low level harassment and intimidation right up to attempted murder?

@Msmcc1212 you may be right. Statistically you probably are. But sometimes people are just shitty. Not always to do with upbringing or society. They are just horrible people.

There really is no excuse for doing this to another human. Plenty of people have a rough time growing up yet don't behave like this.
