I don't like the decor, but the building itself is really quirky!

Also, the video tour is quite something and should definitely be viewed with sound on.

Also the weird gym/lounge room - do occupants use the running machine while their family all sit and watch?

Honeyroar · 06/04/2021 21:12

Looks like what I’d imagine the inside of a submarine to look like! Not for me at all!

WhiteWriting · 06/04/2021 21:13

So many questions:

Was the owner inspired by Japanese Love Hotels?

Was that a urinal I spotted in the prison bathroom?

Why the weird carpeted stage area opposite the floor to ceiling internal windows? I'm guessing for sacrifices?

On balance I think it is a porn movie soundstage for remakes of 60s classics.

A Cockwork Orange
Barbarell-arse
2001 Space Orgy-ssey

Great for lovers of that 'buried alive' aesthetic.

@Dreamstosell the music is Carmina Burana by Karl Orff en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmina_Burana_(Orff)

It packs a punch, doesn’t it?

Parkerwhereareyou · 06/04/2021 21:18

There are aspects that I find exciting, but you need to see it in real life. Not enough windows, garden, outside space, need to check views. It's been painted white and has a lot of matt chrome going on. It's been done coolly but ...

And the ceilings look v low.

I would not pay £500K for it.

waterproofed · 06/04/2021 21:18

*Carl Orff, damn it

mm40 · 06/04/2021 21:19

Wow..... that’s looks awfully cheap......

Holothane · 06/04/2021 21:21

The cleaning would be a nightmare, get rid of all the mirrors I love some of it.

AliceMcK · 06/04/2021 21:22

I’ve just watched the video, who seriously dose that, why on earth would anyone think playing that music would help.

Did anyone spot what looks like a Dalek right at the end of the video? I also thing that those weird steps might actually lead to 2 beds.

All that money spent on it and they using a cheap clothes rail and fabric organiser for their clothes storage 🤷🏼‍♀️

BrightYellowDaffodil · 06/04/2021 21:22

It’s like someone played too much Space Quest.

dudsville · 06/04/2021 21:23

It's mostly beautifully done, I love the stainless steel bathroom and kitchen items, but why have a bidet so far from/separate to the toilet??

BuggeringBugger · 06/04/2021 21:24

It's like a prison of the future where they decided to put them all on submarines.

JustLookingThanks · 06/04/2021 21:26

It's the tin man's house Easter Grin

CallMeCleo · 06/04/2021 21:26

It looks like a hospital ship.

I would feel extremely uncomfortable, even alienated, by being made to spend even one night in such a hard, cold, antiseptic environment. I don't think I could even sleep.

MintyCedric · 06/04/2021 21:27

Holy wow! You could do so much with that given that it's such a blank canvas.

Not keen on the stainless steel facilities and the apparent lack of window but still...

Gotta love a place with a sofa where you can watch people work out

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 06/04/2021 21:34

omg I need my inhaler.

made me feel so claustrophobic even looking at pictures of it

wewereliars · 06/04/2021 21:35

the kitchen looks like an operating theatre

Parques · 06/04/2021 21:36

There's no windows! It would be like living in a submarine!

Hm2020 · 06/04/2021 21:36

I love it but it scares me and I’m not sure why? Very mixed emotions. Blush

NewPlantsNeeded · 06/04/2021 21:41

The doors remind me of the Aliens film, a lot of it does

notagainmummy · 06/04/2021 21:43

It's like the star ship enterprise

Bouledeneige · 06/04/2021 21:47

Its awful. They're tried to make a virtue of the lack of windows and natural light with the submarine concept. But I couldn't bear to have rooms with no windows. I'd feel so claustrophobic.

HeavenlyEyes · 06/04/2021 21:49

oh it is awful. The relief when they showed outside and I saw some blue sky and some coloured bricks.

AlexaNeverListens · 06/04/2021 21:50

When DP came out of intensive care after a week, he said he couldn't get used to all the colours around him as he'd got used to the drab tones of his hospital ward.
I think this house would have the same effect.

PraiseTheSunshine · 06/04/2021 21:52

Imagining cleaning the fingerprints that would inevitably end up all over that kitchen is making me break out in a sweat.
