I don't like the decor, but the building itself is really quirky!

Also, the video tour is quite something and should definitely be viewed with sound on.

I swear it has no windows? Looks like some kind of underground detention facility to me!

Jacopo · 06/04/2021 23:27

I really like it. But I would have to live there on my own.

Underthecarpet · 06/04/2021 23:29

It looks like the inside of a washing machine.

BouquetsAndBalls · 06/04/2021 23:45

I felt quite depressed after viewing the pics. Horrid.

BillMasheen · 06/04/2021 23:49

It looks like a gay swingers club.

I admire the aesthetic (whilst not being a gay swinger myself) but I don’t think I’d want to actually live in it. Even if the Dalek was staying.

thefourgp · 06/04/2021 23:50

It’s sterile and soulless - I wouldn’t live there if they were giving it away for free Grin

Closetbeanmuncher · 07/04/2021 00:07

Kitchen looks lik a morgue

StormcloakNord · 07/04/2021 00:26

That is the most horrid house I have ever seen in my life.

Fingerprints... fingerprints everywhere... the smears... the buffing required.... the fucking HORROR.

Summerdayshaze · 07/04/2021 00:29

It’s evil looking.

krustykittens · 07/04/2021 00:31

It was a relief when the photos switched to the outside and my eyes could rest on a bit of colour. I think more than half an hour in that house and my throat would feel like it was closing and I would be clawing the walls to get outside!

KatChocolate · 07/04/2021 07:07

I don’t like it. Reminds me of an abandoned ship.

KatChocolate · 07/04/2021 07:11

You can imagine Alien coming after you along those walkways with round windows!

“Quick to the door, turn the wheel to seal it shut” - Alien looks menacingly through his choice of windows Easter Confused

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 07/04/2021 07:20

I actually like it Blush - but would worry about power cuts.

Putkettleonlove · 07/04/2021 07:39

That music was used in the Old Spice aftershave adverts back in the Seventies. Kind of takes the edge off the intended dramatic effect

I wonder if there have been any offers yet 🤔

gottakeeponmovin · 07/04/2021 07:56

It's like a padded cell I would feel claustrophobic

Woodpecker22 · 07/04/2021 08:01

Someone had a lot of fun making that video tour. I loved how they matched the timing of revealing each room to the beats in the soundtrack from The Omen. I think the estate agent is missing their true vocation.

Funnyface1 · 07/04/2021 08:59

I absolutely hate it. I'd feel like someone was going to operate on me. I wouldn't have it given.

Franticbutterfly · 07/04/2021 09:07

My dd said it looks like a "luxury insane asylum".

ameliajanes · 07/04/2021 09:09

@Bergamotte

The random spiky ornament on the floor in the corridor, with everything else so sterile, made me think of a bomb (or a submarine mine?)

I did like spotting the Dalek in the last few seconds of the video. Doesn't seem to be in any of the photos- maybe they're taking it with them!

I didn't notice that but I thought the house would have daleks appearing in the corridors
Oneeyeopen · 07/04/2021 09:19

I like the roof terrace.
The inside is like a smart hospital/prison.
I would be claustrophobic.

Crankley · 07/04/2021 11:25

It's completely hideous - I can't think of one nice thing to say about it. May be ok for an asylum.

LynetteScavo · 07/04/2021 12:45

Prison chic?

Did a member of a boy band let his wannabe property developer boyfriend have a go at making some money on something he bought at auction?

LadyFidgetAndHerHandbag · 07/04/2021 14:44

@Franticbutterfly

My dd said it looks like a "luxury insane asylum".
What an excellent description.
YouJustFoldItIn · 07/04/2021 17:43

I like the roof terrace.

No. Come on now. The roof terrace is horrible.

You only think you like the roof terrace, because it somehow represents fresh air and freedom and an escape from the dystopian bowels of stainless steel, padded cell hell.

The fact that you like the roof terrace even though the view is of some run-down garages at the back of the old Co-Op in Gateshead, is testament to just how shit the inside of the house is and how desperate you imagine you'd be to leave it, just to be able see the sky. And perhaps cry for help.
