It's a wonderful life - the most perfect film ever!
Any Hitchcock film - North by Northwest is my favourite, and the Birds
Anything with Bette Davis in - Jezebel and Now Voyager are brilliant
Old dance films such as 42nd Street, Top Hat
Old gangster films like White Heat and Angels with Dirty Faces
British films - Brief Encounter, Kind hearts and Coronets, plus the 60s 'kitchen sink' dramas like Look back in anger, Saturday night Sunday morning.
Films like The Graduate, Midnight Cowboy, Dog Day Afternoon, The Red Balloon (love that, sadly most of that area of Paris where it was filmed was demolished.)
I love old films, far better than most of the dross produced today.
