AIBU to *not* eat the egg?!

So on Thursday afternoon we got in after a half term day out (walking) and a parcel was waiting on my porch.
It was addressed to ‘The Lazydoll Family’ with a typed label and delivered first class Royal Mail.
Assuming it was an Easter gift it sat in the lounge until today when I thought it was probably wrapped inside so should open it so I could thank the sender and say we’d ‘unwrap’ tomorrow.
Inside was an Easter egg.
Just in its box.
No message.
No card.
No idea where or who it’s from.
I’ve messaged all the usual suspects.
Nada.
We are a family of 5.
4 of them are happy to share the egg.
I cannot do this if I DON’T KNOW WHO IT’S FROM?!?!
Eat the egg?
Don’t eat the egg?
That is the question!!!!
Help prevent an Easter family feud (it IS a G&B Organic Milk).....
@LazyDoll I have a similar scheme going on with my sister, our object of choice is a green plastic rabbit from out of a Kinder egg, which mysteriously appeared under my DS's bunkbeds. It has since passed back and forth in our respective houses, hidden in places where it will be discovered unexpectedly. There is NOTHING better than planting him somewhere and later receiving a Whatsapp going "AAAARRRRGGGHHH" and a photo of GR smiling inanely from a light fitting...

Obviously lockdown hampered our mutual efforts, so I did my best with a lovely laminated, Photoshopped Green Rabbit, pinned to the outside of sister's living room window just after dawn, so when she opened the curtains...
🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have only read the first page of responses but I do know that Cadbury run promotions at Easter and Xmas where you can just give a name and address and they'll send chocolate like a secret santa thing.

I wouldn't be too worried about it - tuck in!

My DH and I throughly enjoyed this start to the day. We have read it all and debated the ‘eating or not eating’, the different scenarios, etc etc.
The end result was fantastic, better than any rubbish Netflix show we have been left with recently.
Thank you for making us chuckle and giving us some great entertainment on an otherwise monotonous boring time.

LazyDoll · 06/04/2021 11:16

TheNoodles Incident I feel a collab is needed between us!!!!! Sadly my sister lives 250 miles away from me now but the curtain one is INSPIREDStar

I must point out he is slightly war torn. He lost his beak in an early battle with a windscreen wiper and we’re not sure where his garden fork handle went (I’m sure that occurred on my sisters watch though Easter WinkEaster Grin)

Hippiechick162 · 06/04/2021 11:45

You'll have to start a thread "the misadventures of Mr Kingfisher"...I'm sure many people would read with delight! Love it. Both you and your sister sound like a bundle of fun, genius Grin

I’m sorry, that was me. I shall go and chastise myself appropriately

( it’s still awesome though 🤣)

Usecoooomonsnse · 06/04/2021 15:31

@LazyDoll surely you have to post the picture of the Kingfisher? Hmm

Soubriquet · 06/04/2021 15:35

...she has

Clymene · 06/04/2021 15:45

I love that he's missing his beak Grin

unchienandalusia · 06/04/2021 17:07

Love this.

2Rebecca · 06/04/2021 17:13

Good ending. Although I didn't understand why when 4 out of 5 people wanted to eat the egg the egg wasn't eaten by those 4. Does no one else's opinion matter? that seemed the oddest thing that you over ruled everyone else.

Suzi888 · 06/04/2021 17:23

Easter Grin love it!
