Wish I’d bought a car and given up drinking sooner. I only had 6 weeks in lockdown and loved every second frankly. But whilst most people were squirrelled away at home.

Been back at work ever since. Not drinking us going to be very tough with the sun and my very beautiful local pub garden open.

wevs · 30/03/2021 18:51

Made DC do some work after GCSEs were cancelled. 6 months without education or learning made the start of A levels very tough and no allowance seems to have been made for this.

Toomuchtrouble4me · 30/03/2021 18:55

Nothing for me - had the best time ever.
Should have given DS4 more 1to1 maths help when I had ample time and didn’t bother.

Makingnumber2 · 30/03/2021 18:58

Started trying to get pregnant in lockdown 1 instead of waiting until winter.
Made more effort to lose weight and exercise in lockdown 1.
Not spent as much money on wine l as I did at the start of lockdown 1...
Finished painting the kitchen cupboards I started in lockdown OR not bothered starting them at all as they look absolutely horrendous.

Shaved my head.

Tried to do more fitness stuff and less sitting on the sofa eating ice cream and reading novels stuff.

TheLeapHome · 30/03/2021 19:00

Would have fought being put on Furlough but thought it would only be for a month or two - both of us got made redundant in September and are struggling to find work that covers our mortgage, given the industries we are qualified to work in are screwed.

AutumnRobin · 30/03/2021 19:00

I wouldn’t have agreed to change from part time to full time. It would have made home schooling just that little bit easier to juggle

ScotchB · 30/03/2021 19:03

I Would have trained for a different role in addition to what I do: one that allows me work remotely & quite happily,I’d do it FOC for the first 6 months.

BUSINESS ANALYSIS

Sn0tnose · 30/03/2021 19:10

I definitely should have spent less money and eaten less chocolate.

Elakiya · 30/03/2021 19:11

@HereLiveIAmNotACat

Not eaten everything in sight
THIS!!!!!
Maverickess · 30/03/2021 19:13

I'd have gone back into care sooner, quit when hospitality closed and gone back to care straight away rather than waiting, being furloughed and getting in debt but not being allowed to get another job by my employer, and then being made redundant anyway.
That'd have given me a break while I was furloughed and looking, and I wouldn't have been in so much debt from furlough.
Was very lucky I had found something before I was officially made redundant so I didn't have a gap between redundancy and new job.
I love being back in care, should have done it sooner.

Cheshirewife · 30/03/2021 19:14

I'd have left London and have rented a cool house twice the size somewhere remote!

riceuten · 30/03/2021 19:15

Nothing, really. Perhaps, with hindsight, I would have persuaded myself to get a Roku and Fire Stick sooner, and perhaps made less use of Amazon, but I was battening down for Brexit, and this just coincided

Thecazelets · 30/03/2021 19:16

Cut the cable on my neighbour's new jet washer. The man is (still) obsessed.

IEat · 30/03/2021 19:22

Decorating.... got the paper but couldn’t be arsed. Stopped going for walks etc. That was in the first lockdown (just 2 months before work reopened) I miss lockdown at home so much .

Disfordarkchocolate · 30/03/2021 19:22

Left my training course and gone to visit my Mam. She died last Easter.

anon666 · 30/03/2021 19:40

Hot tub. Except my husband wouldn't hear of it.

speakout · 30/03/2021 19:51

Nothing really.

I suspected we were in this for the long haul, I wouldn't have done anything differently.
I started a daily exercise regime last March and still doing it a year later! I will continue it now even when lockdown is over.

anon666 · 30/03/2021 20:01

Ps what's a sex pond?

TitsInAbsentia · 30/03/2021 20:13

rescued a dog straight away before everyone else pinched all the shelter dogs and the puppysplosion happened.

TitsInAbsentia · 30/03/2021 20:14

@anon666

Pinkerbells · 30/03/2021 20:16

I would have tried to get on better with my partner so that we would not be having the problems we have now!

MargosKaftan · 30/03/2021 20:18

Taken the key worker places for the dcs in lockdown 1 and not tried to work from home and home school. I had the option to go to work and get my dcs in key worker places, but my employer would let me wfh so I tried (failed) to do both.

2nd Time round my WFH wasn't an option, and my dcs flourished in key worker places compared to being at home. I found being in work easier than trying to work from home.

littledrummergirl · 30/03/2021 20:20

Changed from a job with zero hours to one (either full or part time) that allowed me to continue working from home. Normally my job is fab, I work at home contacting other businesses and choose my hours. Unfortunately with lockdown all the companies closed offices and my work was stopped. No furlough pay and no government help.

Eat less and clear the garage out of crap
