Not rediscovered my love for baking and making bread. Although I've been out at work right through, there was bugger all else to do on days off.

Hugged my partner tighter when he returned home to the US on 9/1/20. He was due back 4/4/20 once his mum was recovered from her op. We're going through the immigration process so he'd be here 3m, US 3m. Going through the diagnostic process for Autism with our 3yo, juggling that, on top of working full-time, and a near constant lockdown has been pretty rough, so I've eaten far too much.

Bluebells32 · 31/03/2021 22:21

@kittensarecute i meant we're likely to see more lockdowns/restrictions in future due to the 'rona mutating.

greeneyedlulu · 31/03/2021 22:38

Exercised!

Emeraldshamrock · 31/03/2021 22:49

Worked on my overall health I'm shattered I'm used to being stuck at home now with no routine just plodding along.
Still in lockdown here I cba doing anything.

Stop scaremongering, please, my anxiety is bad as it is.

ilovesooty · 31/03/2021 22:57

It's not scaremongering to point out that certain scenarios are a possibility.

kittensarecute · 31/03/2021 23:00

@ilovesooty

It's not scaremongering to point out that certain scenarios are a possibility.
Then I might as well fucking kill myself because I can't do this repeatedly! I can't cope with all these lockdowns and restrictions and all this Covid shit.
MountainDweller · 31/03/2021 23:10

Moved to New Zealand!

Or if that wasn't possible, moved all my healthcare to the country where I live, because trying to cross the border for hospital appointments has taken years off my life.

ilovesooty · 31/03/2021 23:46

@kittensarecute your mental health might be better served by not engaging with this type of discussion. It's not really reasonable to try to shut people down and continually accuse them of scaremongering when a range of scenarios is possible over the next year or so. None of us know enough to predict with confidence what will happen.

Bluebells32 · 01/04/2021 07:56

@kittensarecute i'm not trying to scare monger you or anybody else. Lockdowns are hard to cope with and planning ahead helps me to deal with the thought of this happening again. The scientific advisors have been honest with us re: learning to live with this virus and future scenarios.

felulageller · 01/04/2021 07:58

Tbh lockdown 1 was life as usual for me. Still had to work ft not WFH.
Wish I'd done more exercise though earlier.
Wish I'd taken the DC's on nice trips to farm parks etc in the window they were open last summer.

JustGiveMeGin · 01/04/2021 08:43

Eaten less
Drank a lot less
Exercised more
Quit my job sooner (horrible job but I really liked my colleagues, WFH nearly saw me have a breakdown)
I am guilty of getting a lock down puppy, I absolutely do not regret getting her! I am also due to get one of her siblings today so lock down had some positives for me at least!

jessstan2 · 01/04/2021 09:05

What I would have done differently is not be worried. I'm not saying I was overly worried for myself at the start but I did feel concerned about various things. There really was no need. Life goes on and I'm still here.

There didn't appear to be any food or toilet roll shortages during the most recent lockdown which is something.

santabetterwashhishands · 01/04/2021 09:14

I'd have shaved my head to get rid of all the old dyed hair now it would be lovely and natural instead of long dead and doing my head in 👎🏻

shinynewapple21 · 01/04/2021 13:44

@kittensarecute maybe try to take one day at a time and concentrate on what we definitely know, which is that we can now meet with up to 6 people in gardens and travel is now allowed . Fingers crossed on the next stage of outdoor hospitality, shops, gyms etc in two weeks .

dayslikethese1 · 01/04/2021 21:47

Probably should have done some yoga. Otherwise nothing really, I've been WFH throughout and its been OK. Have got back into reading which has been good and have been talking to friends more over WhatsApp and Zoom.

houselikeashed · 01/04/2021 22:08

It's before lockdown I would have changed. DH worked his arse off, working 2 jobs. If he'd worked less, and been at home more, we would have been eligible for the self employed grants. As it is, he's had no work, and no money for a year now. Angry
Me - I would have exercised and not gained so much weight.

DD (15) - dyed her hair purple
DS - (18) - he's had a great time working in a school, and not having a crap 1st year at uni.

aquashiv · 01/04/2021 23:00

Not worked so hard and taken regular breaks I'm knackered

dancingindungarees · 01/04/2021 23:36

NOT get my long one length hair cut short as im now sporting a fetching mullet.

Laudaroc · 02/04/2021 19:10

kept a diary!

gannett · 02/04/2021 19:15

The best thing I did vis-a-vis the pandemic was assume it WOULD last for a year or more. Had no idea whether it'd be official lockdown per se, this government clownshow has kept us all on our toes, but I knew there would - or should - be long-term restrictions and prepared myself for them mentally. Also prepared for my industry to go through medium-term upheaval and had a plan B if things had gone to shit for me.

That pessimism has kept me sane. The light at the end of the tunnel is actually here a bit sooner than I'd expected.

Paddy1234 · 02/04/2021 19:23

I am glad that on a phone call we had my 88 year old dad come and live with us for five months. Never thought it would be a privilege for us and our teenage children
#blessings

squiglet111 · 02/04/2021 20:57

Wouldn't have given up my job because it was too far to travel when we moved at start of lockdown. Could have done it from home and still got paid!

Would have started keto diet at start of lockdown instead of gaining an extra stone and half before starting the diet!

tshirtsuntan · 02/04/2021 21:02

Ordered a new sofa sooner, I was umming and erring until the current one is virtually unusable, ordered a new one at the start of November and its finally (hopefully) arriving next week! Un sat upon so I hope I like it!
